Hi Everyone, I was wondering if you guys can help me out. I’m a diehard warriors fan but also a big basketball fan in general. I love going to games and am currently a warriors season ticket holder but am looking for a second team to root for get season tickets with. This will also be an investment as I’m hoping one of these teams will make the playoffs relatively soon. Now here’s what I’m looking for. Thank you for all the help.

Percentage of making the playoffs with a healthy roster in 13-14:

Nightlife near the arena:
Things to do with a 30 mile radius of the arena: I’ll mostly be going there during the season so winter activities.

The teams I’m contemplating on are Twolves, Trail Blazers, Magics, Suns, Wizards and Pelicans,

I can't speak to the nightlife(not my scene), but there is a 0% chance of this squad as assembled making the playoffs next year.

Maybe a 20% chance if they brainwash Dwight Howard to come here

Spreeeeee. My favourite player when I was young(er). I sometimes still wear that jersey that I got in 97.

Sorry if I wasn't clear but if I chose to sign up for suns tickets this would be my vacation or weekend time to get away. I would only see myself going to about 10 games at most per season and resell the remaining. Shy I'm trying to gather enough information about the direction of the team and also the location of the venue as it will be a short vacation whenever I plan on seeing games.

Btw hows the weather like during the bball season?

Tons of stuff to do around the area at night, especially if you are talking a 30 mile range. Tempe's bar scene is a 10 minute hop on the freeway away. The weather during most of the NBA season is phenomenal. Highs in the 70s.

Odds of making the playoffs next year? Basically zero.

you need to ask about the weather ?
Sounds like you should just find a good scalper. Though I don't know how it is now, but I went to 20+ games one yr, buying good seats from the same dude always in the same place. Something tells me there will be plenty of them available.

And nowadays... sites like stub hub would aid the process.

You must be extremely wealthy if your so bored that your looking to purchase season tickets for a 2nd NBA team.

As to your question, the Suns definitely aren't making playoffs next season. If I were you I would likely choose Portland or Minnesota.
