Good move! He's worth more than his contract, for sure.

Well, he may not be happy about it, but good move for us!

Why wouldn't he be happy about it? Suns are the only team who actually gave him a chance.

Because he played above his contract. If he was a free agent, he could probably make triple what he will make next year. But that may have been the only way we would have signed him last year, so he may not have had a choice. But it's pretty safe to say he probably would have had a team give him the mini mid level had he been a free agent.

May not seem like that much more, but when you make $800K and could make $2.5MM or so, it's pretty big.

^ or, he might recognize that without PHX taking a chance on him last year, he'd be down 2 years of $800k and still playing in Europe.

Teams in Europe were offering him more than $800K per year. He took a paycut to play in the NBA.

I don't give a ****. Who cares what PJ Tucker thinks? We have an option on him and we picked it up.

If he wants more money, he can kick ass and earn it after his contract terms are up.

Until then, he's a Phoenix Sun, and we'll be paying him what we're paying him. He's not in a position to pout and bitch and moan about his salary.

Well before you go off on one of you trademark anger and expletive filled rants, (oh wait too late) lets remember that PJ has never even said anything about the matter- let alone "pout and bitch." This is all just speculation.

Youre just assuming he would, and unfairly so. For all we know, PJ could be just delighted to be in the NBA, so its not fair on PJ that you would assume he would pull a Dwight Howard.

Tucker seems like a really cool and grounded dude. Im sure hes really happy to be playing for us again. I bet if we give him a multi year option he will gladly accept it too instead of going to FA even if he would get paid more.

Btw this video reminds me of Tuckers hustle and doing whatever it takes....DONT WATCH IF U DONT LIKE THE SIGHT OF BLOOD. From the movie Goon:

Something interesting about Tucker. He's 6'5" tall and has a 7' wingspan. Holy crap he's a pterodactyl.

Like that McD's looking for athletic players with big wingspans (Goodwin, Bledsoe, Len, Oriakhi). Both Tucker and Brown have good athleticism and big wingspans too. Should really help defensively in a lot of ways

1) Disrupting passing lanes
2) Blocking shots
3) Pestering dribblers
4) Steals
5) Rebounding
6)tipped balls
7) Contesting shots
8) Rotations of defense don't have to be as far

I don't think he'd bitch and moan, and I think he will kick ass. He's a professional. I was just pointing out that it likely would have been much better for him financially had it not been picked up. I'm certainly glad this isn't like the nfl where people can hold out after every year trying to renegotiate their contract like Revis did. That's BS.
