If Butler comes in with the right mindset - ie young team, they need leadership, last year of his deal and want another 2yr deal from someone, AND the medical staff could possibly help him - then I'd have Dragic and Butler. Other players respect Butler and don't mess with him - we need those mentalities in a captain, even if he is shipped out at midseason.

Something tells me we buy him out at a reduced cost so he can catch on elsewhere before the season starts - like Ben Wallace a couple years back

I think Mr. ORNG has the longest tenure, along with the Gorilla. They're also kind of appropriate.

Yea, after watching the presser, I can definitely see Butler being one of the captains of the team.
