Great read on Caron Butler and his role for the upcoming season. It seems he is really embracing the veteran leader and mentor role with the Suns. I love the part about him helping to bring a positive culture to the team and getting on young guys (especially Bledsoe) to reach their potential and approach the game the right way. Could he be the next 'Grant Hill' for us?

I hope he emerges as the lockerroom leader. Seems like a good dude.

Yea I hope he really takes Bledsoe under his wing. Other than Butler, I don't see any guys on this roster who resemble anything even remotely of a "'mentor" or "leader". Frye may be the next closest one and nobody knows if he even has the heart to play basketball again.

Drug dealer at 14, NBA champion at 31. He knows one thing or two.

He would be a great mentor to Beasley

Butler was one of my fave players especially back in the wizards and heat days.

Its good to hear he wants to influence the youth, but at the same time I feel that he deserves to be playing for a contender at his age. What's best for everyone is hopefully he provides leadership to the team and lead by example at the first half of the season and by trade deadline some team gives up assets for him so he can help in the playoffs.

Archie Goodwin then takes over his minutes in the second half of the season :) Win win
