That play at 2:06 with Beasley just goes to show how talented he really is. WHY DOES HE HAVE TO BE A MORON?!?

It's a very nice clip man.

And damn, that pass by Dragic at 2:20 between Nash's legs was soooo siiick. Same with the Marshall pass right after it to the same recipient...Dudley.

If he would stop shooting and just attack the rim, he could have been a decent player in this league even with all his defensive incapabilities. It's one thing to ball hog and chuck up shots and it's completely another to ball hog and drive, get to the rim and draw contact to get to the FT line.

I don't know, I saw many times last year when he attacked the rim and either had the ball stripped from him by a much smaller defender, lost his dribble or simply missed an easy layup attempt. I think the guy is very athletic, but not very good at playing basketball. He thinks he knows it all and is unwilling to listen and learn. Also, he never seems 100% focused.....

Yea the focus plays a role in it too. And I honestly didn't see too many times when he attacked the rim last season.

He should just drive, hold on to the f***ing ball and then dunk it. If he draws a charge in the process then who cares that's still better than him chucking up his horrible shots.

Eddie Johnson said it best, he should stop the long 2's. His coach should take the decision making out of his hands and relagate him to mid range shots (his midrange is strong), and catch and shoot or catch and go to the rack situations, no just give him the ball and let him decide. If he is still on the team at that point.

I always felt Beasley could have been very productive for us in a Shawn Marion type role. Now obviously he wouldn't be able to do all the things Marion did and I'm not trying to make an apples-to-apples comparison. That being said, Marion never had plays drawn up for him, he simply set up close to the rim, rebounded the ball and put it back. Basically he picked his spots wisely and took the highest efficiency shot (most of the time). He also got open for easy lobs.

I feel that if Beasley had used that mindset, he could have easily averaged a double-double.... but he would have needed to buy in and accept that role. Instead, he thinks he's the second coming of Jordan, Magic, Kareem, Bird, Kobe, etc. He simply isn't that good, never was and never will be..... not even close!

Guys that know their role and accept that tend to have great success in this league. Guys that think they're better than what they really are jump from team to team before finally being out of the league (which will happen very, very soon for Beasley).

Ahhhh..... the virtues of having a good coach to pound into a guy what his role is gonna be instead of letting the player decide..... Popovich....Jackson....fitzsimmons... Riley.... Sloan.... Hornacek???????????????????? god please!!!!
