Thought it was time for another of these. Plus I really wanted to LOL at this without making its own specific unwarranted thread.

He knows how to shoot them, but its all mental. The Lakers even brought in a Psychiatrist to help him, but it did nothing. When he's in practice, he can hit them at a good clip, but in gametime he breaks down mentally. Here is a chart from the Lakers locker room showing their players the difference between what the shoot in practice and what they shoot in gametime.

Yeah I've seen this before, but I don't see it happening. He is going to turn into Shaq, "I make them when it counts".

I feel bad for Amare, another knee surgery this summer. The lifespan of his micro fracture surgery has run out it seems. He's had a pretty good career for someone that had that knee surgery pretty early on.

It would be insane to think if he could stay healthy, had the heart of Lou, and was smarter than a fifth grader.

Well it's about freaking time. At no point should the home court team be trailing in a series should all games stay on home court which unfortunately is what can happen these days.

Yip, totally agree it's a long time overdue.

On another note - do we want a trade thread, free agent thread and an Around the NBA thread?

We could merge the free agent/trade thread and make it a 'Suns transactions' thread?

Always need the Around the NBA thread - will give you that cos it's your bday Dan haha - but the others are pretty similar

Makes sense, TASTIC

On Amar'e, I feel bad for him as well. I think his career is basically done at this point - even if he was limited to 20 minutes per game I just don't see those knees standing up to the NBA game for a sustainable amount of time. I could be proven wrong because he's still relatively young, but the surgeries are getting more and more frequent and I'm imagining his knees are mostly replacement parts at this point.

Everytime I read about Amare my respect for the Phoenix medical staff grows a bit more.

Amare was already shying away from contact after the first surgery, especially on the defensive end. I have no idea how much he will shy away from now, if he gets on the floor. I think all the ones who said we would regret not giving him that contract feel pretty dumb right about now.

I don't feel too bad for him though, he will be paid huge for doing absolutely nothing.

At least Amare gets the title of "Greatest Jewish PF in NBA History".

Any former players in general in past numerous years when leaving for a new team and evidently break down health wise, I give more props to Aaron Nelson and the crew.
