Ugh merged them the wrong way round and we got a 122 page monstrosity haha
Basically just combining those two threads so we can chuck Suns related transactions in here.
cheers

Ain't nothing like a clean thread.
Who are we thinking gets cut before the season?
Smith, Lee Nunnely?
Xmas is partially guaranteed so I don't see a reason we'd let him go now.

Ish, Lee and Nunnaly.
ST: Dragic/ Bledsoe/ Green/ Markieff/ Gortat
BN: Marshall/ Tucker/ Marcus/ Frye/ Len
DNP: Brown/ Christmas/ Plumlee
DL: Goodwin/ Kraftsov
Goodwin might get some burn early until Frye is ready to contribute. Tucker would play more SF and Marcus some PF.

Grrrr ... would much rather see separate trade and free agent threads so that I don't have to see all of the wet messiness of ridiculous traderbation scenarios.

Dragic, Bledsoe, Morris, Frye, Gortat (best 5)
Marshall, Green, Tucker, Morris, Len (bench 5)
Though Frye probably won't start right away.
If Marshall sucks in a superb way they might just have Archie take his role

You guys must be nuts thinking our biggest prospect (alongside Len) Archie Goodwin won`t be playing at least 15 mpg this season. This is the season to develop him, Len and Morris twins and I am not even give up on Marshall yet. Besides them only keepers should be Bledsoe, Dragic and Tucker, imo.

Exactly ryu.... by the end of the yr, I expect 85-90 minutes of our guard play to come from Dragic, Griffith, and Bledsoe.

I think Smith and Lee are goners for sure.
Not sure who the 3rd guy is gonna be. I actually like Christmas and Nunnally in the "last guard off the bench" role. Both of them have their strengths, and I would appreciate having both of them on the roster. Nunnally seems like he could be a Raja Bell/Danny Green type of player, and Christmas played very well in Europe:
http://wagesofwins.com/2012/08/03/the-euro-rankings/The signing with the most potential for impact next year other than AK47 is Dionte Christmas for the Celtics. He was fabulous in Europe last year and has a chance to be a legit replacement for Ray Allen for the Celtics. I am very happy about this.
I don't know if we're going to go into the season with both Plumlee AND Kravstov.
The roster does have a lot of fun NBA2K potential. If you want to go with a bigger lineup that can kinda run and shoot, you could play:
Dragic
Nunally
Morris
Morris
Frye
They wouldn't be able to defend a lick but at least they could score a little.

x-post from the trade board
My version of the Gortat to OKC deal
Gortat + Green + Brown + Ish + Kravstov + Plumlee
for
Perkins + Lamb + JonesIII + Adams + Thabeet + 2015 OKC 1st
Waive Thabeet, Lee
Dragic / Marshall / Christmas
Bledsoe / Lamb / Goodwin
Tucker / Mook / Nunally
Kieff / Frye / PJ3
Perk / Len / Adams
6 first rounders over the next two drafts:
2014: Ours, Minny, Indy
2015: Ours, LAL, OKC

For a team that cuts costs, OKC is never going to give up Adams AND their 2015 1st...They just won't...
Love it from our point of view though

I never thought about potentially cutting Kravstov. We're going to have endless bigs so unless he shines in camp/preseason, I see no real reason we would otherwise hang onto him.

I really see Dallas making an offer for Gortat ....
Rick Carlisle let Samuel Dalembert know in front of the entire Dallas Mavericks' team that the veteran center's conditioning was unacceptable. Then, the coach lamented Dalembert's basketball shape to the media, unasked.
They do not have too much to offer, but we can involve other team. For example, a trade involving Shawn Marion, Gortat and Tristan Thompson.
Dallas IN : Gortat and C.J. Miles
OUT: Marion, Jae Crowder and Ledo.
Cleveland IN : Marion, Jae Crowder and Ledo.
OUT : T. Thompson and J. Taylor
Phoenix IN : T. Thompson and J. Taylor
OUT: Gortat
Phoenix gets younger and better at PF with Tristan.
Dallas gets a great frontcourt pairing Gortat with Dirk.
Cavs gets a good and solid starting F in Marion, they can play Bennet at PF (his true position) and they are getting 2 prospects in Crowder and Ledo.
This trade works financially.

I dont think CLE touches that one.
If Dallas really wants a C, i see them approaching the Rockets for Asik. Maybe Marion/2014 1st for Asik.

I don't think there's going to be a deal made between those two teams. there's a reason teams in the same division rarely do any deals. Rockets and Mavs are not just in the same division, they're in the same state - no way Rockets do anything that helps Mavs and vice versa.

That's not exactly true, is it?
KG and Pierce to Brooklyn, Bargnani to Knicks, Bledsoe to Phoenix, Jennings to Detroit, Kevin Martin to Minnesota, Jazz-Timberwolves pick swap... and that's just this summer.

This isn't the NFL. It really does not matter what division you are in. Make which ever trade with which ever team to improve.
Example: Warriors trading us Goodwin. Trading Dudley to LAC for Bledsoe. Trading Nash to LAL.
