Is there such an app?

Alright,
I was thinking the other day that it would be nice to have an app for sports enthusiasts where you could enter your favorite teams across the NBA, NCAA, NFL, NHL, etc. Using a map program enter a range of miles from your location. And any time your teams come within that range the program will alert you or even pin a calendar.
For me I live in TX, I always check to see when the Suns are in Dallas, Houston, and Oklahoma because I can reach those places relatively easy.
Further and off-topic this would be badass if you could integrate things like musicians and bands into a similar concept. Etc.
Anyway, if it doesn't exist. Lets get some $$$$

You know if you give me good details that would be an excellent app which i can design. I just need more information on how exactly one would want it to work as well with integrating schedules for all sort of venues. First start sports then can go to concerts etc. I think you are on to something tho.
Let me know. my email is
jleckie602@gmail.com or phone 602-487-2393 call me.
Thanks!

Stubhub does this but it doesn't alert you. If you go on it, it tells you everything that's happening near you and allows you to purchase tickets for it as well.

Doesn't seem like much but apps are normally minor enhancements to old ideas anyway.

Ah, brotha. I'm no businessman. If I was I would of saved all my money and dumped it into 3d printing technology. Just fansturbating the idea of an app.
My thoughts would be in general.
Mobile app that syncs to android or apple calendars and alerts. Store a database of game schedules. Let the user subscribe to alerts to notify them of events with their teams. For me I live in East Texas. I would follow the Suns, Cardinals, Diamondbacks, Coyotes, Sun Devils events, and the Reds (my baseball team prior to the Diamondbacks). If they play teams in certain arena's or locations near me. For me I'm willing to travel eight hours to see the Suns play. Six hours for the Cardinals. 4 hours for any other team. Or define it by distance.
Let the user subscribe to not only teams but stadiums if they want to be kept abreast of games outside of their zone. Maybe I would love to see the Reds play at Candlestick or some such and take a trip.
Profit would be a question though. Handy app but would people pay for it? Or do you just sell it to ticketmaster and what not?

There's already one for concerts. It's called "bandisintown" and it's great.
I get weekly emails from them too.
