Lebron not interested in Cleveland !!! Would love to see the Suns on his radar.

If he leaves MIA, I think we have a solid shot at him. Dragic/Bledsoe, floor spacers, and defensive bigs, is a very attractive situation IMO.

I'm hoping Sarver is pulling out the massive red ... err orange carpet FA treatment for LBJ. If fans knew the day he was coming into town could we put 20K people in front of the arena to welcome him?? I really hope he opts out and we get a chance to woo him.

Whether we have a 1% chance or 5% chance at Lebron, we should still do our part in recruiting him.

Agreed. I think we are one of the top 5 destinations for him.

Now pretend you're not a Suns fan. Who do you think are the 5 teams?

First you have to look at teams that would have outright cap room to sign LBJ (assuming a $20M contract). Right here is the answer http://www.basketball-reference.com/contracts/#teams::4

That would be

Lakers
Mavs
Suns
Jazz
Sixers

Of teams that can sign him outright the Suns look to be in a very good position.

Only worry would be if a team could pull off a sign and trade. Problem with that is it would almost certainly gut the team of any real resources to help LeBron win now.

Damn I hope Miami gets knocked out early in the playoffs. Coupled with Wade being older and oft-injured that would almost guarantee he opts out.

I never thought of the teams, but if I was a superstar I'd love to go to the winningest franchise without a championship to help bring their first.

I'm on the fence about Gordon Hayward. I'm not that impressed with his stats and think committing a lot of money to him would be a mistake. I'd rather go after Monroe and make Monroe our first option in FA. I'd also like to see us sign Trevor Ariza for around $5-6m a year. Very underrated player, he's got good size, he's a good defender, good 3 point shooter and could have a spot starting at the 3. I like Ish, but I think we need to upgrade the backup PG position in the offseason, Ramon Sessions and Steve Blake would be my top 2 targets.

Dragic/Bledsoe/Ariza/Monroe/Plumlee

with a bench of Sessions/Tucker/Green/the Morri/Frye + Archie and Len is a pretty good team.

$5-6 mil a year for Ariza? Ugh.

I agree we need to upgrade the backup point, but my vote is for Grevis Vasquez.

He's proven he can start in this league. I guess GMs just don't view him that way as he keeps getting traded.

Is LeBron on some goodwill tour to bring the other 30 teams a title or something? No. Y'all stop it with the LeBron talk please. Dreaming is free and all but it's just silly at this point.

I forgot where I read it, but I heard he has an attitude, plus he's a bad shooter.

I'd much rather dream about having Durant on our team.

I'd like to solve the backup PG thorough the draft with a late pick if possible, especially if the two PGs system is going to stick.

Vasquez sounds great for a second unit, but I think his status is beyond what we are talking about here in terms of minutes and money.

From the FA pool, Patty Mills also is interesting, but he is much more of a gunner than a distributor.

While there are definitely a few point guards in the draft I like for the Suns, I covet the lineup versatility Vasquez would afford the Suns. We could draft or sign any number of great shooting undersized 2s, and allow Vasquez to defend the 2. The Suns could field a 3-guard lineup with Vasquez and two shooting guards. I also love his competitive fire and confidence.

In terms of money, we'll see. I'm thinking his stock went down after his struggles in Sacramento. With the depth at the PG position around the league, I would rule out him agreeing to a reasonable deal.
