Coverage begins...Feb 7. NBC pigheadedly decides not to broadcast the opening ceremonies live because it will be on at an odd hour, and they want to 'add' to the pageantry with commentary and a delayed broadcast.

And it looks the hype has begun even on this site. I assume those redwhiteandblue clad people pop ups are some of the next crop of temporarily heavily marketed athletes. Heartfelt stories to follow in multitudes. obnoxious USA USA chant waiting in the wings.

Lets hope for a safe couple of weeks. Its best not to rile up the Putin-ator.
