Is Goran one of the ten best in the league?

Many of his advanced stat numbers (Win Shares, Win Shares/48min, PER, etc) are starting to support this notion.

Is he elite enough to be considered our number 1 option? Suns fans are complaining about Goran not making all-star team but do we understand the caliber of player we have on our team?

If he keeps up this level of efficiency till the end of the season, i think he can be considered a top 20 player... But we do need a bigger sample.

As for him not being good enough to be the no.1 option i think it has to do about his style of play. Last year he was trying to be a playmaker, this year he attacks first, looks to pass second. It helps to have shooters on the wings giving you space for sure. As he is playing now, he looks unstopable.

I really want to see how he does vs Thibodou today...

Yep. Dragic is playing lights out right now, but a ton of good players go on insane 10-20 game runs every year

Dragic has the skillset, bbiq, and system around him to be elite a la Steve Nash, but he's not quite there yet.

For the month of January, he was in the discussion as a top 10 player, but overall, no. Overall I'd say he inching towards being a top 5 PG, which in itself is a huge step forward. This year, you could argue he's been the 3rd best PG in the league.

I'm still wary if his play will last, we've seen him have some great runs in the past. If it his run continues, I couldn't be happier about being wrong about a player.

He's playing at a near peak Tony Parker-level. Parker was able to maintain this kind of efficiency throughout entire seasons which Dragic probably won't do but he's definitely top-15/20 at this point IMO.

fantasy wise he's currently #26 among all players. Last month he's obviously been much higher than that.

This "im one of the best" started at eurobasket 2013 . It was like the feeling when you watch rookies starting to figure it out and everybody says "the game has slowed down to him".... the same thing has happened to him ... but ... well .... Dragic wasnt a rookie last season , far from it.

He's not a Top 10 player in the league overall just yet but I see no reason why he can't sustain his success going forward.

Lets just say he's a phenom hybrid of prime Nash and Ginobilli. And yes, right now.

No, Dragic is not close to being a Top 10 player.

Lebron, Durant, Paul, Harden, Love, Melo, Westbrook, George, and Curry (9 players) are basically a huge step ahead of the group. And then you got Howard, Bosh, Aldridge, Lillard, Irving, Griffin, Davis, Cousins, Wall, Dirk(10 player) in another group. That leaves out recently injured guys like Rondo, Wade, Kobe, Rose(4 players). I can maybe see an argument against Lillard, Irving, and Wall though as far individual players/talent level goes I think they have him beat.

That's 23 players right now that I would say as far as individual talent levels go, have him beat. I would say it's fine to put him in the 20-30 range, however pretty much all of these guys have shown their ability over a longer period of time. Dragic has really only done it since Bledsoe has been out otherwise he is just a good starting PG IMO.

I love Dragic but let's not start to overrate him because of a good month(although it has been a very good month for him).

I think last night's game kind of showed what he needs to improve in order to break into that top 10 tier. He had a lot of trouble when challenged by intense defensive coverage from the Bulls. In order to be a superstar in this league you really need to be able to overcome that kind of defense, either by getting past double teams or effectively finding open guys in those situations (something guys like Steph Curry are starting to become better at this year). I think that time will come though.

I am perfectly fine with Gogi being a top 25 player in the NBA.

Top ten point guard, yeah... Oh wait in the game? Haha.... nah.. but he's definitely playing his best ball.
