Definitely. He was only known for his dunking and is now one of the best 3pt shooters that the league has to offer.
I think Green's biggest competition is gonna be his own teammate Dragic.

It's really nice to see Green performing/producing at a high level...what I always envisioned for him when he played on my C's...
Hope you guys make some noise in the playoffs!

In an ideal world the press will pass over Dragic simply because they want to make him all-NBA, leaving the MIP award for Gerald.
Then again we gotta see what happens when Bledsoe comes back. Green isn't nearly as comfortable playing off the bench and Hornacek's got a real dilemma on his hands regarding which unit to put Green.
I've REALLY taken a liking to the guy though. When he came to the team I thought he was just another trash-talking dunker. But I've come to admire how humble and hardworking the guy is. This guy can flat out shoot.

Green was pretty good with the nets 2 yrs ago but just couldnt fit in the pacers system. He's been great but I don't think he deserves mip. He's never fit this well in an offense in his career.
Gorans the more deserving IMO

yeah when he was with the Nets he was still in chuck mode more often than not. He's learned self-control with his offense, looks like things are finally happening for him.

Dragic was already a legit starter while Green was a scrub. Gambo even said we had to take him to get Plumlee/pick. He is turning into a great story and the Suns have really needed him.

Scooper, or whatever that poster's name is, should make a highlight video of Gerald Green's best 'celebration' faces and gestures. Hah.

this is true, but something has to be said about Dragic becoming a bona fide leader this season, which takes more than just improving stats. Last season he had great numbers after the all-star break, but I don't think any of us would have said he was ready to be "the man" the way he is now. Green's improvement is good, but he has been a decent scorer before and most would agree that the jump from starter to star is more difficult than going from a scrub to starter.

whats gonna happen to the lineup once bledsoe is back? Is there any chance green gets a crack in the starting lineup? or is he just gonna get more mins off the bench, and close games over tucker or not?

how about starting him in the third quarter while Dragic or Bledsoe gets a rest? Seeing how much of a spark he provided the 3rd quarter lately, he could definitely fit into that role.

Probably won't close games over Tucker but this is likely gonna be the lineup that finishes games
Dragic
Bledsoe
Green
Tucker
Markieff
But in the meantime I think Bledsoe will come off bench for 2-3 games & then will start with Green as 6th man.

Give credit to Hornacek. Did anyone else notice earlier in the year some of the heated discussions Hornacek was having with Green? I didn't like Green for the first month of the season because he was still throwing up wild shots and seemed to be arguing with Hornacek alot. His shot selection has improved drastically just from the start of the year.
Green's improved maturity and Hornacek's coaching have really helped Green come on.

He still does *way* too much stupid **** on the court, but he's gotten better in that regard.
Good for him. He's been critical. Still scary to rely on him though.

He's gotten LOADS better!
The only time he really does stupid **** now is when he's "feeling it." If he is on fire, he does tend to start jacking up some questionable shots, BUT the thing is lots of them go in! If he starts missing, he clams it down. This happened in the OKC game.
He's also gotten so much better at not forcing things. He plays so much better off the ball. He used to hog the ball when he wanted points but now if an opportunity isn't there, he often gives the ball back to the PG to reset the offense.
He's got all the talent in the world. If he keeps making Basketball IQ improvements, he could really become a valuable asset.

They asked on NBA TV today who the most improved player is and Grant Hill picked Green and Stu Jackson picked Dragic. Its a good watch
http://www.nba.com/video/channels/nba_t ... layers.nbaGrant Hill seems so knowledgeable when he talks about something. I wish he would permanently get a spot on the Inside the NBA show.

What has impressed me lately about Green is he seems to have learnt what is his shot and works to get them. Loves pulling up from around free throw line and nailing it.
