suns next game is vs the clippers.

at least horny should be thinking about the most effective ways to implement it vs jordan. last time the suns fought the clippers, the guy played 33 minutes, but shot ONLY 1 free throw attempt during the entire game.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hack-a-Sha ... al_fouling
In May 2008, ESPN.com columnist John Hollinger named the Spurs Hack-a-Shaq use as the "Best Tactic" of the first two rounds of the 2008 NBA Playoffs. Hollinger wrote that Popovich was the "first to really master how to use this weapon to his advantage." He explained that Popovich used the tactic "to eliminate 3-point attempts" and with 25 seconds or less at the end of quarters to get the ball back for the Spurs to gain the last possession. Hollinger stated "This should be a Eureka! moment for other coaches, and I expect it will be the league's most widely copied tactic next year."[24]

"I think it's awful. I hate doing it. Seriously. I think it's a pain in the neck, fans don't like it, I don't like it, nobody likes it. It disrupts the flow of the game. If there's an equitable way to get rid of it, I'm all for it.

they could also do that to miles plumlee. they're a run and gun team, the suns also. but i think our small ball team can handle their small ball team. losing plumlee hurts the suns less than them losing jordan.

frye - somebody not jordan
tucker -guards blake griffin
green- barnes
dragic - paul
bledsoe - collison

Tucker is a big guy and a very solid defender. With that being said, have you actually seen what Blake Griffin looks like? We don't have anyone on the team that can put a body on him. He's going to get his, we just have to make sure nobody else gets into a rhythm.

i know griffin's listed height and weight, but i do think pj's our best defender vs blake.

edit: you're probably one of those guys who think using shaun livingston vs dirk dowitzki is an OBVIOUS mismatch. livingston's gonna get KILLED, right?

no, because Livingston is long like Dirk. Tucker is not as big as Blake or as strong as Blake. Nothing against Tucker, but not many are as big and strong as Blake, or athletic.

Didn't Tucker guard Griffin last time we played them? And Griffin had like 35 and 20 or something like that?

But in first game, our worst defender Frye guarded him.And Griffin scored 15 or something. So it shows nothing.Tucker would be way better than Frye.

I know some guys will tell that Frye is long and his 1on1 defense is not so bad. Then why couldn't he guard **** old & slow Kaman?

tucker guarded griffin in the 2nd half, when the suns made a faux mini comeback vs the clippers.

i havent watched the lakers game, but was it frye or plumlee who guarded kaman. maybe they were taken by surprise. frye is good enough defender against the duncans of the world. he was just caught off guard by the lakers intensity.

griffin's height and weight seems to be slightly overstated in the official listings.

Griffin won't even play tomorrow so I guess this is all a moot point.

Tucker wasn't put on griffin till 2nd half and he held his own..
It frustrated griffin and we all know what happened.

It was frye and markieff who let griffin destroy

So it is still not certain i guess. I hope both of Jamal and Blake won't play against us.

Livingston has a 7 foot wingspan, hence long.

and dirk's a 7 footer with 6'10 wingspan. it shouldnt be that hard for any center his size to score inside.
