Playoff Discussion

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Fri Apr 18, 2014 2:57 am

So will most people here still watch the playoffs? Will you pull for certain teams? I typically pull for underdogs, so I am rarely happy with the playoff results, but I always enjoy pulling for the underdogs.

I haven't watched Charlotte, Washington or Toronto much this year, but I will be watching the playoffs for the most part and will be pulling for each of them. I expect them all to lose and us to see the usuals in the final four in the east (Brooklyn isn't a usual, but it feels like most of those players are).

As for the west, I have usually pulled for Memphis, when the Suns are not in the playoffs, but I kind of want to see OKC get to the finals so that matchup is one I wish didn't happen. I'd rather pull for Memphis against the Spurs or Clippers and for OKC against Dallas.

I'd love to see Portland knock off Houston. I guess I will pull for the Warriors against the Clips, but they seem too banged up to win.

I guess I'd like to see OKC win the finals. I'd rather see Toronto or someone like that make it from the east, but I guess OKC winning it all would be more satisfying if they knocked off the Heat.

I hope the Heat get eliminated as early as possible.

Then maybe LBJ can quit on his team again and hook up with Bledsoe

Hoping for Heat vs Thunder/Spurs finals. Don't really care who wins.

^ could think of nothing more boring. Rooting for Raps and Wiz in the East.

Dubs, Blazers, OKC and Mavs in the West.

Playoff Discussion

Post#6 » by Jdiddy701 » Sat Apr 19, 2014 2:57 pm

I've said it all season.. Clippers will get a ring this season. They are too good. Blake was MVP until Chris Paul came back. Adding Reddick and Crawford to the mix is insane on how good they can be. Surprised everyone sleeping on them. Jordan is the best defensive center in the league.

I am not one who hates the clippers. They play just like old Suns with Amare and Nash but better defense from all positions.

Yeah, it's funny how I keep hearing out Doc has made their offense great when he hired Gentry to instill the offense. That's why they look like the old Suns on offense.

I'm rooting for the Warriors in the West. Miami in the East.

Dirk and the Mavs choking again.

They got a 10 point lead, but then blew it with Dirk missing WIDE OPEN layups.

I am now pulling for a Wizards/OKC finals. Heat vs Spurs last year had a GREAT game 6, and not a bad game 7, but prior to that all the games were one sided. While a rematch could be interesting, I'd really rather see OKC take out Miami (if Miami makes it). I don't really want to see another Heat or Spurs championship.

I'm just gonna start this off with the fact that I still don't like him, but do you think Robin Lopez would have been a different player on our team if Hornacek was the coach instead of Gentry?

It pains me to see the Blazers in the playoffs cause I know that the Suns are a much better team than them.

WHOA! Did you see that Durant 3 while being fouled, down by 5 with under 15 seconds left? It was about as crazy as sequence as I recall, including Manu against Memphis a few years ago, Chapman against Seattle, and Ray Allen against SA last year.

Durant gets away with a huge charge on that play. Memphis retains possession with a no call on the Gasol kick ball.

Not really sure why I am rooting for Memphis. I think Durant is a high character superstar, and I have nothing against OKC at all.

Guess it's sort of my nature to pull for the underdog.

I usually do too. But if they win, I'd want to see them take out the Clips (or GS) and then SA. I really don't want to see SA or LAC in the finals. I like Memphis. I guess in some ways I feel bad for OKC after their unfortunate injury last year in the playoffs that I'd like to see them get a crack at the finals again.

I think Durant will win a championship at some point and we might as well get it out of the way ASAP before the Suns start a dynasty.
