So can you clarify whether in the other thread we are just not allowed to post the actual picks WHEN they are made?
But we CAN post about tweets/rumors/etc leading up to each pick, before anything is announced official (via twitter or wherever else)?
Or we can't post about ANY tweets/news leading up to picks in the other one, and only can talk about the picks that have already been made or who we think we should pick?
For example, Jude LaCava tweeted last year like either right before the draft, or after a few picks that he knows we will NOT take McLemore. Would that be a spoiler in the other thread and should be posted over here?

Good idea with the spoiler threads DRK.
Unfortunately I have a rec league bball game tomorrow right in the middle of the draft like last year. So I'm going to pop in after all the fun has passed. I was driving there last year and was screaming with joy when Bennett went one. I figured we'd get McLemore or Noel. When we picked Len I was so fn pissed.
I still haven't made my own 'mock' or said who I want us to get because I just have no idea.
I do know that with a chance at Saric more real now, I really hope he falls to 18 and we nab him.

I will have to talk to the judges about that and post the answer when we determine it.

I asked DRK the same in the last thread you locked (right before you locked it) and he gave his thoughts.

My take on this is that rumours are fine. As long as the tweet in question doesnt take away from the excitiment factor when SIlver makes the pick, it should be okay. It really is a case of one using their own judgement.
I dont have a problem with trades announced via twitter, or speculation about the pick itself. But any tweet that reveals who
any team is going to pick before the pick is actually announced, kinda takes away from the fun.
Not sure if you get me, but thats just my $0.02.

I agree. I would say if you think it is in question, use spoiler tags. I don't know if correctly guessing who they are going to be picking a minute before they draft is spoiling, but someone COULD get the real info and post it that way. So maybe even if you are talking about the very next pick who hasn't been made on tv, and you want to guess, you post it like this:
I think Charlotte, here, is going to take

I can agree with that, but it makes it hard for me to enforce a spoiler policy if it is left up to someones own judgement, as some people dont always exhibit good judgement.

I dont think we need spoilers for guessing who theyre going to take. I was adamant that we were taking Noel last year; that was my guess. Look how wrong we were!
If you can correctly guess who someone is going to take, good for you. No one really takes anything we write on this board seriously anyway

Back to the Draft talk:
I'm sticking by my guns. My views have not changed.
#14: James Young (If Young is gone Anderson here would be fine)
#18: Kyle Anderson
#27: Clint Capela/Patric Young

kinda like it, except for Patric Young
not a draftable prospect, in my opinion
Capela would be another big man project for us

Don't know if this was posted or not:
Alex Kennedy: NBA draft rumor: Multiple league sources believe that Zach LaVine has a promise from the Minnesota Timberwolves at No. 13.
Nevermind.....already posted. Thanks kerrsed. Been out of the loop for the last couple of hours.

I'm pretty much on the same boat as you. Would like that draft. I would prefer Stauskas at 14 I think, and wouldn't mind Hood at this point (just because those two showed they were good 3pt shooters last year). Wouldn't mind Harris either but him and Young both shot worse than expected from long range last year even though that is supposed to be their strength.
Would also be good with Warren at either pick.

Yeah, seems to me the only thing that would really be a true "spoiler" would be something that gave away a pick before it was announced on TV. Rumors are a huge part of the draft thread anyway, so my viewpoint is that we should only exclude actual pick announcements before Silver announces the pick from the other thread. I personally will only be using the other thread once the draft starts, the draft is boring enough with having to wait so long, I completely lose interest if I'm seeing who's picked before Silver finally comes out. I'll breeze through here periodically in case any modding assistance is needed, but all the while trying not to read actual picks!

Alright, sounds good to me!
I personally will spend most of my time in this thread, as i love all the inside info, but will be visiting the other one as well. Hopefully i dont confuse the two and end up having to suspend myself due to a careless post!
