Was just wondering how Suns fans would feel about this possible deal.

The Rockets and Pelicans have an agreement in place sending Asik to New Orleans with nothing in return to Houston so they would have cap space to sign Bosh or Anthony... well, neither signed obviously.

I was thinking of this trade today and I think it works pretty well for all teams involved

Asik to New Orleans
Gordon to Phoenix
Dragic to Houston

Houston traded Lin to the Lakers, missed out on Bosh and are desperate to make an improvement to their roster with Howard aging. The Pelicans really want Asik so they can move Davis to his natural PF position, they are also looking to get rid of Gordon because his health and contract hasn't worked out for them.

You guys drafted Ennis, just signed Thomas for 4/28 and will soon sign Bledsoe to most likely a 4 year maximum contract. So without saying its obviously Thomas/Bledsoe will be your PG rotation of the future for the next 4 years. Dragic is 28 years old, and is expiring next off season, which he will most likely also be looking for a 4/60 type contract. I doubt the suns will be looking to lock up that kind of money in a 28 year old PG when you guys will already have 3 much younger point guards already locked for 22+ million for the next 4 season. The Suns will most likely be dealing Dragic by the trade deadline, if not before this season so they can get some real value in return.

Gordon is 25, a real SG, is a terrific offensive player, and would fit great next to Bledsoe in the back court, they would have a really nice defense/offense punch and would be one of the best back courts in the league for the next 4-5 years. The Suns organization obviously love him, and Gordon would love to play here as well, as Gordon and the Suns signed him to his current contract back when he was restricted. His only knock is his health, but with him being only 25, and with the the Suns outstanding medical staff i'm sure he'd do very well in Phoenix.

What do you guys think? Would Gordon, packaged with some future draft picks and young players (Motiejunas, Rivers) be a fair swap for Dragic who will be expiring this next offseason? Thanks for reading and your opinions.

Seriously suns fans are ecstatic Pelicans matched Gordon.

Only way Gordon comes to Suns is if he is packaged with Anthony Davis.

In regards to 3-way with Rockets... Unless Rox is sending out Harden, Suns aren't interested.

Suns is competing with Rockets they couldn't care if Morey messed up... It's a good thing for Suns... They won't bail Morey out by accepting deals that make the Suns worse.

Most of us - or some of us - (not me) are even thinking about letting Bledsoe go because of his injury history.

Wow, would you personally expect, or if you know the majority's opinion, that Bledsoe would be moved or even unmatched, before Dragic would be dealt?

I thought Dragic would be on his way out, with Bledsoe being becoming the the Suns PG of the future.

Me and majority (i believe) wants to keep three of them (IT-EB-GD). I don't think we let Bledsoe go for nothing.
Even if we let him go, we will do it by S&T i guess. We have the cap space so there is no need to concern.

So we already have three PG's but you want us to trade Dragic for Gordon/Rivers? That doesn't make sense. Rather have Dragic who is a better overall player than Gordon.
Only way Suns make a deal with the Rockets is if we trade for James Harden, and if thats the case, you can take Dragic/Goodwin/Lakers 1st for him.

I didn't want to sound real defensive but..

We have a free agent/trade thread... Propose the trade there, you will get replies... It's the two busiest threads on the Suns forums. This thread will just get locked by suns mods when they wake up...


Secondly, If you have read the trade threads you will understand that Dragic is currently heavily valued here... Gordon is a negative value, Rivers??? suns have 6 guards that need minutes already.

If you posted on the trade threads you would of seen a lot of information there already
