"AZ Central's Paul Coro reports that newly re-signed Phoenix Suns wing P.J. Tucker was arrested in May for a "super extreme DUI".

The term "super extreme" applies when the blood alcohol-content level in the offender is greater than 0.200. The legal limit in Scottsdale, Arizona - where Tucker was pulled over - is 0.08. Tucker was pulled over with a blood alcohol-content of 0.222.

According to the report, police spotted the 29-year-old Tucker driving slowly through a stop sign, and proceeded to swerve wildly around turns. When he was pulled over, Tucker had "thick, slurred" speech and "watery and bloodshot" eyes."

Ridiculous. He could have easily killed someone driving that drunk. I just lost A LOT of respect for him.

Instead of taking responsibility and trying to apologize sincerely to the public, him and the Suns have been hiding this for months? And he's supposed to be the "veteran leader" of the team.

I don't understand this, how come nobody knew about this until today?

I have to agree. In the colangelo years tucker would be gone already.

Hate to say this, but I sorta expected something like this from him. He just struck me as someone who isn't that bright and sorta selfish. Just my personal opinion.

I'm surprised and sad by this news.

It seems out of character for him. And this isn't a borderline bull DUI. This is extreme. Being that drunk and driving is incredibly stupid.

Just lost a ton of respect for him.

My family was injured in a car accident by a drunk driver, driving at twice the legal limit. Granted, this guy was a low-life loser, not some famous basketball player making MILLIONS.

Taking a cab, or hell even a limo at his salary is equivalent to the average joe paying for a 1way light rail pass.

Selfish, stupid, irresponsible.

Jesus a .222! For someone as big and fit as he is thats like 15 shots. What an idiot, I have no sympathy for drunk drivers. No a days its such an easy thing to avoid.

What a **** idiot. Get this *** off my team. He should never be allowed to drive again.

Just one day jail time? That's crazy. When you're that wasted and decide to drive I would think it'd be longer. He could've killed someone.
