If we win this game then we'll have the same record as we had last season through 43 games.

I'd bet it was harder considering we've had the 2nd easiest schedule in the league so far this year.

Yeah, I was slacking glad you made the game thread JTrain. Like BH stated "Lets beat that ass". Love when we can take it to the Lakers and while Kobe is still there lets dominate this game before our schedule gets brutal.

Just checked and last year through 42 games which we has the same record (24-18) as we do now, we played 22 @ home and 20 on the road through that 42 game stretch.

40 games left ... 30 against playoff quality opponents. Win the 10 easy ones and split the 30 against playoff teams. Puts us with 25 more wins. ... 49 wins overall. I want to see 50+ wins this season.

We've had such an easy schedule up to date so far that every time I get excited to watch a suns game its against some boring team (and then we manage to lose somehow anyway  ). I cant wait for this next stretch because it will truly test this team. The calm before the storm.

We still need to play Hawks twice, Blazers 4 times, OKC twice, Clippers twice, Rockets 3 times, Warriors 3 times, Grizzlies twice, Bulls twice. I can't see us winning 48 games like we've last season, Id say we will between 44-46 games. 46-36 or 44-38 would be my best guess.

Way harder. We have had one of the easiest schedules in the NBA this year thus far.

Also we didn't find ways to blow close games last year like we've been doing this season. 2-7 in close games with most of them being because the Suns make a stupid mental mistake like being unable to bring the ball past half court like or chucking away instead of waiting for the shot clock to go down etc.

50 wins is probably what it will take to make playoffs.

Hopefully this team is also better than it was in first half of the season.

That's my biggest fear. I'm worried we didn't build a big enough buffer to withstand the brutal stretch we now face.

I still disagree. It should take fewer games for the 8th seed this time, because the bottom of the conference is better than it was last year.

I agree with this, and on top of it we always play better against tougher competition so I think this team can beat any body if they are mentally prepared. And strength of schedule doesnt factor into march upa and all that. Yea the blazers have a great record but we were also 3-1 against them last year

I agree. I think 47 wins will put us in. Unfortunately, going through the schedule I see us winning 40 at the low end and 49 at the high end. As mentioned earlier in this thread, we have 30 games left against contending teams (right now that's top 10 teams in each conference). If you figure we win 80% of our games against the Utah's and Boston's of the NBA world and 50% of our games against the good teams, that puts us right there at 47. Not much room for error and so far this season we've been unable to split our games against the better teams.

It all depends on OKC. If they catch fire they might win 51-53 games which could put them in 7th and San Antonio in 8th with about 50 wins.

If OKC still struggles, the 8th spot will be 44-47 wins.

It also comes down to winning streaks, teams such as OKC and San Antonio reel off 8-10 in a row. But I don't see Phoenix being capable of putting up a winning streak like that. They have yet to show it and I believe we had a few 4 game streaks but no higher then that.
