With reports of Suns being front runners if STAT is bought out, thought I'd see how the board was feeling about this possibility.

No. Stoudemire is the past - no need whatsoever to move backwards

I didn't really think he'd want to come, but if he does, might as well as long as he signs for minimum and we don't need whatever salary space we need for a trade. If we are already at the cap, then might as well sign him for the minimum. With Len being injury prone and possibly Plumlee being dealt, it might be nice. It might be good for Dragic too to give him a past Suns connection. He will probably be the only one Amare really knows so it might be good for chemistry as well. I'd like to see him and Dragic do some pick n roll or pick n pop. He'd be a decent backup big.

I think a trade would have to occur to free up front court minutes. As it stands, I don't think he should be getting minutes over Len/ Wright/ Markieff/ Marcus. You could move Marcus to full time SF but that would mean Tucker would have to go, or Green would have to go and move Tucke to SG... Gets kinda convoluted.

It's nostalgia for a time not too long ago the Suns could really be called contenders. I get that. That being said - there is 0 upside in bringing him in now. Hes older, worse, Nash is gone... Build for the future. Move forward

Yes. Brings excitement at least back to the arena for the second half of the season. Also, would love to buy Stoudemire jersey with the new style.

Only issue is roster space. They'll have to make a trade to waive a player before he can be signed. Otherwise, if he'll sign for cheap, I don't much mind.

Locker room cancer. I don't want his sandbagging, stupidity, or his ego around our team.

While I don't think amare is a cancer I just don't see the point. Just play the young guys and see what happens.

Pure non sense. Amare may be a lot of things but he's never been cancerous in his entire life.
Hell, he should receive an award for not causing locker room turmoil in NYK considering all that's happened there.
Don't be mad because he took financial security and money instead of staying here. You and every single person in the world would have done the same exact thing.

I still remember the classy move he made right after signing with the Knicks. Took out a full page ad in the paper to express his gratitude to Phoenix. That's not indicative of a cancer.

Amaré was a cancer for Knicks after their trade for Melo.
He was so pissed when he lose the NYC reigns for the hometown boy hahaha
Now he's more aware about his role and stopped that 'diva's' thing.

.
Even though he was a major part in bringing him to New York?

Stoudemire was playing like an MVP candidate leading into the Melo trade. Melo shows up and they start running the offense through him and Amare became second fiddle. I can imagine that was frustrating.

I don't care either way. If we can move Green for a pick, we could use another big. He could be a good pick and pop partner for either of our main guards. If we had a young 6'10" guy waiting, I would say no, but we don't.

Where is this Amare=cancer stuff coming from? Dude's honestly one of the model-citizens in the league.

No doubt about it man. He had a 'cinderella' year with them.

I would love to see A'mare finish his career in Phoenix. Also think you could set a pretty solid rotation with Bledsoe, Thomas, Dragic, Tucker, Green, the Morris twins, and Stoudemire. Len and Plumlee would be competing for the final spot. It would also put the Suns in a better position to secure the 8th seed in the West.
However, if Dragic is traded for a 1st round pick, then getting Stoudemire at that point would be more about evaluating him to see if he could fit on the roster next year.
