Bledsoe to the Kings. Pistons move up

Post#1 » by City of Trees » Thu May 28, 2015 5:06 am

Suns In: #8, Collison, Stauskas, Thompson
Suns Out: Bledsoe

Why? Suns move up and grab Hezonja or Johnson, get a quality PG to pair with Knight, and Stauskas. Suns have the ability to add a lot of shooting here, not to mention they still have #13 to address a big (Looney? Kaminsky?). Thompson is serviceable but added for salary reasons, this will be his last year fully guaranteed.

Kings In: Bledsoe, Butler
Kings Out: #6, Collison, Stauskas, Thompson, Landry

Why? Kings make the trio of Bledsoe/Gay/Cousins. Butler is non guaranteed.

Pistons In: #6, Landry
Pistons Out: #8, Butler

Why? Pistons add a year to Butlers contract with adding Landry. Price to move up to #6.

I'd pass.

I'd rather wait for Cousins to piss off the Kings FO to the point they look at trading him, and pair him with Bledsoe here.

Collison is good, but Bledsoe is much better. Stauskas/Thompson are just wasted salary that would be taking up valuable cap/roster space as they ride the bench.

Nope.

I think this is a good trade for all the teams involved.
I like Collison a lot, he can be the best backup PG in the NBA playing here behind Knight.
Stauskas is a pure shooter with handles that can flourish in a fast paced offense, we need shooters badly.
At #8 we can grab a terrific prospect. I think there are 9 great prospects in this draft, so one of them would be ours for sure. At least one of Stanley Jhonson, Cauley-Stein, Hezonja or Porzingis would be available, and they have huge potential.

I like Bledsoe, but with that trade we get three players than can change the face of our franchise in the next few years and I think we need it.

I like and fully endorse this trade, assuming that New York wouldn't entertain a similiar trade for the #4. Wich would be a silly waste of melos' time there, if they rather choose to keep the pick and rebuild.

I posted a similiar trade to that one, wherein we sent them Bledsoe, the morri, and either green, or thornton I think.

And we got back their pick, derrick williams, landry , and collison. But either way, great trade, and great idea.

If at #8 though, I would surely choose stanley johnson, were he somehow still there. And if not, porzingas , winslow, etc.

Turrible. If it were the 4th pick I would do it

8th is a joke

lol as if Butler is so easy to get

higher chance they trade Rose than lose Butler

regardless of who "might" be there at 8th, Bledsoe for that pick (regardless of the other players Sac gives back) is horrible value and viable to get McD fired

Winslow won't be there at 8th

Porzingis has ridiculous bust potential and is in no way worth Bledsoe

and Johnson is just a much **** version of Winslow and again, not worth Bledsoe

literally all the of the 1st tier guys are gone by 8th

whoever is left will have huge question marks and will absolutely not be traded for Bledsoe

the only trade the Suns would consider is one that gets them into the Top 5 (maybe 6th)

I can't believe people are eating this up

Why wouldn't we cut the Pistons out and take the 6th ourselves? I'm sure the deal could be modified to keep both teams happy.

I agree, and I really don't think McD is the kind of guy who gets the worst part of the deal. If Winslow is our goal in the draft, like many here desire, I don't think he will be there at #6 either.

So I think McD would pass.

Yeah, no. The only one on board with this idea here is ' No Knee Bledsoe' and he's

Edit: Okay, three people here are on board with this lol.

Who did this? I don't see it, I think you just are looking to belittle posters, as always, or you just have poor reading comprehension.

Just because Nokneebledsoe posted that he wants the Suns to max out Jimmy Butler, does not mean he is confusing him for Caron. Look at his first post, directed at Kerrsed. He doesn’t mention Butlers name in the deal because Caron is a non-guaranteed contract. He then goes on to mention wanting Jimmy Butler in his next post. I think you are the one who is confused. It’s pretty simple to follow.

I'll retract my statement. The listings had only one Butler, and the discussion went off on Butler. I didn't belittle anyone.

I would prefer, obviously, the #6 pick over the #8, but I think there are gonna be a great prospect available even at #8.

But better than Bledsoe locked in putting up 17/5/6 in a crazy roster change year? I just don't see many prospects as good both offensively and defensively than players we already have on good to decent deals.

Even the sixth spot might be a tough sell for McD. I think like Kerrsed said, that McD might want to wait a bit and use other assets to get bigger named players here through trade. If he waits until December, we could see where guys progress, and see if guys are busts.

Either way, I don't see us helping Detroit move up two spots in the draft. If a player he has been scouting drops to six, and he feels Knight is progressing to a good leadership role, I could see a trade. Bledsoe was McD's first big move and later signing.

Woke up this morning, checked RealGM Suns forums... saw this thread... I was like "WTF, Suns made a trade"...

Nope...
