Seems kind of interesting. Let me look into it more and I'll let you know

I was shocked with the first pick.

I think it's a hope for both box office and Oscar noms/wins. I wouldn't have done it first, but I can see the logic.
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I can see a pretty big box office, and a bunch of nominations including Best Picture and maybe a win, so maybe they worked out the math, but no way would I have taken it first.

I haven't done much research yet, but I feel like I know what the top pictures will be. The trouble I'll have is picking movies I really want to see but aren't likely to perform stratospherically.

Taboo, Tom Hardy's new show on FX, is premiering (possible already premiered for some of you) tonight.

You guy's heard of this one? Pilot came out a long time ago, but on Amazon Prime if you have it. Giovanni Ribisi plays the main guy and Bryan Cranston plays the vicious ganster,

Synopsis:

A con man on the run from a vicious gangster takes cover from his past by assuming the identity of his prison cellmate, Pete, "reuniting" with Pete's estranged family, a colorful, dysfunctional group that threatens to drag him into a world just as dangerous as the one he's trying to escape - into the family's bail bond business. He's a criminal taking down other criminals.

Just watched Lion (very good), Hacksaw Ridge (very good though a bit cheesy early), Split (entertaining), 99 Homes (interesting, and Michael Shannon plays a BAD man..great acting job).

As for tv, halfway through 3% and Sneaky Pete...both pretty good.

Finished Sneaky Pete...fun watch.

Saw John Wick 2..full of action...I love a good escape from reality action movie, but this was almost too much...still fun, and more along with the best part of the first one...the hotel and assassin rules.

Also watched Hidden Figures...great movie. And Manchester by the Sea. Depressing and slow and hard to get into. Good movie if you have the patience for it but not one I'd recommend to just anyone.

Saw Lego Batman movie... highly recommend.
John Wick 2 was good, even though I hadn't seen the 1st. When Morpheus came out I died laughing.

Yeah, I kept waiting for him to ask if he wanted the blue pill or red pill.

Are you a GOG gamer? I got my hands on SWAT 4 from GOG and the game is awesome for a 2005 game. Co-op with friends is heaps of fun, and a bit nerve wracking.

I am not.

I have around 20+ games on steam, like 8 on Uplay, and a few on Origin. Havent had that much time to game as of late due to packing for my move, but did get in on both the closed beta and open betas for For Honor. Really liked it and might be getting it. Very similar to another game i play, Rainbow Six Siege, except for it being Melee combat instead of Guns. Also really excited to get in on the new Conan Exiles pre-alpha. Im a sucker for the sandbox/survival/base-building games like DayZ/H1z1/Rust, and Conan is pretty much a bit of all of those put together but using the Unreal Engine like Ark does. Starting to get into playing those games, but on RP servers, which totally changes the game and makes it way different. The more i do it, the more i will be streaming it, because adding a role-play aspect to these games are incredibly fun.

I also relax by playing retro-games. I have the usual NES/SNES/Genesis/TG16/NeoGeo/PS/N64/Saturn/PS2/Dreamcast/GC/Arcade emulators and damn near all the games for all those systems (Minus the PS2 due to the insane amount of HD space it takes to hold the entire library). Love me some SuperNES and NeoGeo time to chill.

Does anyone here watch it? Kimmel had a great monologue and basically is hitting it out of the park every time he talks.

It's been on my list. I'll probably see that and Logan this weekend.

Just started Mass Effect for the first time thanks to the trilogy being on sale for $5. It's like a more action-y KotOR without lightsabers. I'm digging it so far.
