What is the funniest thing you've ever read on this forum?

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Mon Jun 15, 2015 8:07 pm

I'll start, and off the top of my head have to say JDiddy during the fantasy draft (sorry JDiddy...it's all in good fun), the puke gifs by grumpysaddle after Shannon Brown was signed (I think re-signed...though I know some hated the gifs).

Can't think of specifics off the top of my head, but Frank Lee has had some absolute gold over the years.

On the Suns board :

Back when Stromile Swift got picked up as a quick filler, we had this super-Stro fan who showed up. He was dead seriously convinced that Stromile was one of our best players and shoulda been a key starter ! Was especially funny when Tsherkin (who was a mod on here at the time) would attempt to have a logical dialogue with him

Trash talk with the Mavs fans during early SSOL. There was this Mavs' board mod they had (who later wound up getting banned from realgm) who was kinda "slow" and fun to make fun of when he came trolling the Suns board.

In 2006 we only had 1 mod on the Suns board, and he disappeared during the playoffs. When the Lakers went up 3-1 in the series a ton of Kobe trolls showed up getting all cocky. The backlash they got when we came back to win was real fun.

Kerrsed used to make these posts with a ton of hilarious gifs in one post. Think he had like 300 gifs in a single post one time  His Sig request thread had some real fun ish in there too.

Some of Burningheart's rants were hilarious, the guy never took it easy.

The 09' draft thread. It was such a trainwreck highlighted by IHG.

Who posted that Markieff and Bledsoe are better than Dragic? So much LOL.

They'd never get a promotion in real life.

Basically your WHOLE post.

The Stro guy was amazing, he legitimately thought he was an elite player who's talent had barely been scratched..

I remember 'B00bgate'

There was basically about a week where a HEAP of guys on here found jiggly GIFs and it ended up getting a lot of people banned from having any avatar.

That, and as BBF mentioned, TUIs (Typing Under Influence)- they were great times.

We'd have game threads where me and the Aussies would basically catch the Suns game on a weekend and you could see the level of quality of the post deteriorate the further the game went on due to drinking our frustrations away, good times.

I remember 'Feel the Cheese' at some point as well being a term...

IHG...that guy was funny

Maryvale's Finest takes me way back!!

I think his name was Ihotep, or something like that.

And really Bgwood? You reprimand me about not accommodating posters, and you use a topic of mine where clearly people were using a different definition of a word? I hope you give yourself a warning? I hope your intent of this thread was to discuss funny things said, not stuff you disagreed with, or there was heated debates over.

The drunk posting is always good fun. Or when people type, "your an idiot!"

Restraining order? F*ck off!(green font)

The other guys listed did say some funny stuff, sadly not on purpose.

Recently, I think the madman's response to the mortgage bet. "Why would someone want the debt you owe?"

You mean betting your house on something when you are upside down in your mortgage? I can't remember the specifics of that conversation, but it was funny.

I know, I almost erased it, and will now. And I warn myself. But I meant it as a lighthearted joke.

It would have been funny if that was what I said, but I stated over and over that there was no proof that players or coaches lost games on purpose. I can't claim to know everyone's opinion on that silly strategy and apply it to what I was saying. Oh well, dead horse. :D

As far as the house bet, the original comment was the poster wanted to bet his mortgage. He didn't say his house. Clearly a slip, but funny none the less.

There was another thing that brought back the "half bottle of champagne to Nash" from the ESPN board. Man that whole thing was hysterical.

I agree that I think players and coaches never try to lose. I feel management may tell the coach to sit certain players due to "injury" in which the coach may not have a choice though. But I don't want to get off topic (even though I am here) so lets stick to funny things.

Most of BurningHeart's rage posts before it went to a whole another level of profanity.
