Re: Devin Booker
Much better than I expected. Now they shouldn't **** around and rush him back. Groins are tricky and easy to reinjure.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Re: Devin Booker
Grade 2 groin strain is 2-3 weeks.
Just rest him until the new year which would be 4 weeks.
Caution now will help us avoid any accumulation issues and allow him to play 40 minutes when it's important.

Per McD, projected recovery time is 2-3 weeks.
.....only more so now.

Re: Devin Booker
For what it's worth DeMar DeRozan tore his abductor muscle in the 14-15 season and missed 20 games and was
able to comeback without any problems and actually continued to get better and better until this year where
he's dropped down a bit.
The fact that it's a strain for Booker the 2-3 week time table seems accurate and he should be ok. Since Booker is so
young and you guys are rebuilding/tanking I'd give him extra time.
I tore my groin when I was 13 years old during a baseball tryout during the drill when you run the bases as fast as you
can as the coaches time you. The injury has never completely healed as it can be easily tweaked when ever I try to run
at full blast and it's such a painful injury whenever I feel it tweaking I immediately dial back in fear of re-injuring it.

Re: Devin Booker
Booker will back
The ‘silver-liners’ will celebrate the 2 or 3 games we didn’t win and extrapolate that to an improved draft position thus a better player. Yay
This squad is bad. This year was over before it began. Obviously my expectations were too high, but all I thought is we would be better than last year.
I don’t see it... well I do see some areas, but the overall feeling is still regression and confusion... bad basketball

I'm going to the Suns/Mavs game December 18th. Him being 99% out for that game really sucks.

Re: Devin Booker
Giving a closed period of time for a recovery is a bad idea. Doctors usually do not do that. Coaches and managers usually do.
The recovery time depends on a lot of factors. But, especially, nobody knows hoow the body of a certain person is going to react to a particulr treatment. So it could be 10 daysor it could be a month or it could be two months.
The important thing here is that Devin heals well.
It is a pity, as he was scoring at will and we were a show to watch just because of him. I do not think we can beat anybody without his 30-35.
I have a brother who plays sports, just like me. A few years ago he injured his abductor. He did not heal it well and now he needs to warm up extra well and needs to be really careful about that. We go out with our mountan bikes a lot and sometimes he needs to stop for a moment so he can rest that area. Especially, at the beginnig of the day.

Saddest part is regression from Chriss, nothing that much noticeably different with bender (yet), and Josh Jackson looks raw mostly still, with flashes.
The key will be can 2 of those 3 become very good role players in the next 3-4 years. If so, we have a shot to compete in the 2020-2030 decade, because this year-2020 is a no go with the Warriors in their prime, and the Celtics one healthy Gordon Hayward away+one more piece from being a perennial contender as well.
We have to nail this upcoming draft and somehow get DeAndre Ayton or Marvin Bagley III or some combo of 2 of the following: Ayton, Bagley, Sexton, Bomba, Doncic

JJ should be starting....go see him.
I would be going to the game tonight, but have to do daddy stuff with my 7 year old daughter and the wife works....loving the free tix to the game. I was strictly going to watch JJ. Hopefully James the Shot Jacker will at least let JJ touch the ball. I hope the run the O through JJ and Warren.....Let’s see what the room can do on extended time.
It is gonna suck when my boy stops dating this Suns employee.

Re: Devin Booker
PHOENIX -- Devin Booker is able to walk, albeit slowly.
That's a major step in recovery from a left adductor strain that the Phoenix Suns' star guard suffered in the fourth quarter Tuesday night in Toronto. Booker was carried off the floor by teammates. He was on crutches the next day and then was moved onto the team plane in a wheelchair.
Booker's timetable for recovery remains at two to three weeks. He moved about dressed in a suit and smiled while answering questions about his injury.
"I'm already walking. Every day it's felt better since it happened," Booker said Thursday night before the Suns' home game against the Washington Wizards. "I'm on the right path."
When he was injured, Booker thought it was a cramp, at first; but when he tried to move, he could not.
"People said I was doing the 'Mannequin Challenge,'" Booker said. "I don't ever want to be carried off the court. Anything in my power, if I could have walked off I would have walked off. We had to resume the game, so my big fellas helped me out."
Booker is averaging 24.3 points and has 10 30-point games this season.
Booker spent Thursday on the bench supporting his teammates. He admitted being out for an extended period of time will be difficult; and he pledged not to try to come back too soon and promised to tell trainers the truth about how he feels.
The injury is new territory for Booker, the face of the Suns in his third season. He has played through pain before, but he said he had never felt such pain before Tuesday night.
"It's never ideal for me to miss games," Booker said, "but at the same time, we have to be cautious with it and take our time."
The Suns were short-handed against the Wizards with Booker out and center Tyson Chandler away from the team for personal reasons. Forward Derrick Jones Jr. was waived Thursday.
Rookie Josh Jackson started in Booker's place at shooting guard, and Phoenix coach Jay Triano said there will be other lineup combinations over the next 10 games.
"He's a voice for us anyway," Triano said of Booker. "He's been a leader. Even more when you stay in the game mentally, when you're not playing, thinking the game, seeing the game and being a part of it. It helps when you return."
