Re: Fantasy Leagues
We should have a money league.
$20 buy-in.
I was in the middle league, I think there was only 12 people but I don't remember anymore.

Re: Fantasy Leagues
This will be my 4th year in a row in the Premier League. But boy, talk about just making the premier league's cut, year after year!
I dunno how many people are returning for the H2H league, but Im expecting my school to be really busy this semester so expect a thread for the H2H league next week.

Checking in for Premier League.
14 Team Premier League is the way to go. 12 Team is much too small in my opinion. 14 Team is perfect.

Re: Fantasy Leagues
This will be my 10th season in the RealGM Fantasy league! Mixed bag but won a couple of times at least.
I'm in favour of 14 teams again, makes those last few picks and FA more important!

12 team does seem like it would be too easy, but it would be nice to have spots for IR. If you have like 3-5 injured players who are not worth dropping, you are absolutely screwed and fall behind fast.

Well the drafts take place on these forums (there is a thread for each league and you make your picks in thread via draft order). The actual game play takes place in yahoo fantasy.

14 Team was perfect last year. There was still alot of talent left on the board in the late rounds, and with this year's rookie class, even more talent will be added to the pool.

Re: Fantasy Leagues
Narrowly averted relegation from Premier League again this season (even with Dwight Howard on my team for most of the season).
Hoping to keep the streak alive for at least another year.

Well then what is this? viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1399442&start=1234#start_here
Or are you just starting early this year trying to confuse the hell out of everyone?

Re: Fantasy Leagues
Ulquiorra and I got bumped up to the premier league if we're still doing the original top 2 getting promoted idea. 14 team league should be good, 12 is not as challenging.
Jdiddy will be missed. If you haven't seen the china league draft thread from last year, you should it's a good read.

I was thinking three got premoted and demoted, and it seems like Kerrsed had mentioned 5 being demoted from premier to get it down to 12.
I don't care how many teams are in premier, but typically in more advanced leagues, you have more teams, not less, because you have to be more strategic and every team won't be stacked.
So here were the leagues from last year:
Premier League
DRK
Miami4Ever
Kerrsed
Nevetsov
Calvin Klein
TASTIC
sunskerr
Koplegend (to be relegated to D league if playing)
Zero Tolerance
Mirv (to be relegated to D league)
coldbyfletch (not playing)
bwgood77 (to be relegated to D league)
Kobe>Jordan>God
Gaspar
D League
wheezy (moving up to Premier)
Qwigglez
1UPZ (moving down)
NeverFear33IsHere
Superhuman (moving up to Premier)
Maystack (moving down)
Ulquiorra (moving up to Premier)
b-ball forever
Safety Pickle
SunZel
Miklo (moving down)
BringinDaRuckus
China League
Sun Scorched - Sun Scorched's Team
Jdiddy701 - J's Superb Team
Wordsenuff - The Chubbychasers (moving up to D league)
aivin adams - Marbury Ballgobblers (moving up to D league?)
sunsbum - dragon spunk
Mathias - Ni Hao Know How
Moochiefried- Team Mooch
Phystic - Yao know what I Ming
batsmasher - Earl Joseph (moving up to D league)
Lawson - Lemon Chicken
WeekapaugGroove - L's Groovy Team (moving up to D league)
kennydorglas - K's Team
So Superhuman, Ulqiorria move up from to Premier. Not sure who else moves where except I move down to D league.

Re: Fantasy Leagues
I remember there was talk of having the draft order done by somebody not participating in the premier league. Whomever does it better make a video of him drawing names so we can all watch. Its not practical but it builds suspense

Exactly. And most of us always agreed on this. We had a poll on this a while back and the large majority of us wanted at least 14 teams.
We should keep 14 in the premier, and bump the other leagues up to 14 as well, for the following reasons :
1) Need enuf quality players used.
We're already down 1 roster spot per from the standard yahoo team size (12 man team instead of 13), so that's already 14 fantasy league roster spots less in a 14 team league. 12 team leagues always leave several starting NBA players who are putting up decent stats in the FA pool, ideally there shouldn't be that many of them, which makes 14 or 16 team leagues a nice size.
2) More accurate rankings.
Last year in the D-League for example we had 12 teams, and nearly all of us finished on the same level. The 3rd placed player had 56 points, and the 10th placed player had 50.5 points ! Basically too much luck factor. Having more players increases the ranking accuracy, and defines better separation between teams.
3) Reasonable amount of skill.
Another reason reason for the 12 man D-League rankings being a toss up was the large amount of quality FA's available, everybody was able to build a strong team super easily despite injuries and draft screw ups.
It just makes so much more sense to have at least 14 teams.
