Coffee shop in middle of Mar Vista/Venice area. Grabbed coffee for two to go. I wanted to geek out but I contained myself and we exchanged gentlemanly nods.
Then I had to explain to my date who the hell Steve Nash was....

That was my first thought, but then she ended the date with "can I come over?"
I'd like to contribute my fortune to my inherent knowledge of Nash, as my encylopedic knowledge of the man who just crossed our path compelled her to acknowledge my superiority and release her lustful desires upon me.
TL;DR - Steve Nash got me laid on the first date.

Re: Saw Steve Nash Today
I waited on Nash and Kidd back in the day. I used to work at Lombardi's downtown. They came in a bit late at night, and I was bartending that night. I just treated them like any other person, and they were both very cool to me. It's weird, but I remember where I sat them and taking their order, but I don't remember what they had.
At that same restaurant I waited on Colangelo and Reggie Jackson, and a few others officiated with teams that played downtown.

So Nash, even in retirement, still dishing out the assists.
He's gotta be a damn good wingman.

Awesome. I saw Nash once at a bar in Scottsdale..can't quite remember the name...it was a new one at the time..he had just been drafted, and no one at the bar knew him so he was standing at the bar waiting for a drink, so I walked up and introduced myself and said "Please be more like KJ than Cassell because Cassell is a ball hog". I was glad to impact his career, since he followed my advice.

When asked how Fascism starts, Bertrand Russell once said:
"First, they fascinate the fools. Then, they muzzle the intelligent."
