@bwgood, didn't really see that this was already on the trade thread. i think it's significant enough to deserve its own thread, but it's your call.

It would be ironic to send Morris to Houston. But honestly I really only like Harrell and DMo. But DMo has only played six minutes so far, and they just assigned Harrell to the DLeague.

Good. Get him out of here. It's bringing down the entire team.

I think it's a likely destination and I think the Rockets will trade D-Mo for him. D-Mo will likely command top dollar over the summer and the Rockets aren't going to match the offer, so they might as well get some value and cash in now. GM's are stupid, they know Kieff is talented hes just dogging it because he wants out of Phoenix. He'll get his wish soon enough.

If the Rockets are trading for Morris, its for scraps.

If it`s for scraps you can forget about it, we would trade him to the East for that.
Rox have a couple of interesting guys like D-Mo, T-Jones, Harrell and McDaniels. D-Mo and KJ McD would done it for me.

The problem with Marieff to Houston is that the salaries are hard to match. And to make the salaries match, you have to do one of a few things:
a.) Add Tucker - which causes many problems. Tucker is not someone they need. They have Ariza/Brewer, so Tucker is redundant. And it makes us even thinner at the SF/PF slot.
b.) Add Lawson - I suppose this could work, but do we REALLY want half our cap tied up in 3PG's. Markieff/Goodwin for DMo/Lawson in theory would work, but it doesnt make a ton of sense.
c.) Make it a three teamer. Send Markieff to Houston. DMo to Phoenix, and Lawson to somewhere like Brooklyn, for parts than Houston needs.

Yeah. I think it has to be a 3 way. I could see something where Houston throws Brewer or Ariza out to a 3rd team to make room for Tucker. There's also the option of us including Price so they can send Beverly or Lawson elsewhere, with us getting a pick in return. It really depends how much they value Lawson these days. He has not played well in their system at all.
Personally, I'm very torn on who I'd prefer between DMo and Jones. Jones is younger, the better athlete, and the better all around player imo, but DMo's post game is absurd, and his size arguably gives him the higher upside.
That said, because both are free agents this offseason, they will get paid a lot and we could just sign either. In my opinion, we'd need something more, like a pick or another young guy, even if it means throwing in another vet from our end. I like Montrezl, but I feel like McD probably doesn't since he passed on him in the draft a couple times. I wonder if Houston would part with Decker or McDaniels, or a pick.

Yup, probably the only reason why Morey is looking at Morris, if he even is, is that he thinks of him as cheap help, and that he wont be willing to throw anything substantial in. We on the other hand wouldnt take scraps especially from the Rockets, as much as wed like to get rid of Kieff. No deal here.

It is happening. Looking for at least a late first round pick or a good prospect. No way are trading real value for Markieff at this point....sad but true.

If they are talking 15th Dec doesn't that imply it's for a recently acquired Rockets player?
Please not Josh Smith.....

If Rockets is interested, they'll try to fleece us.
Stop dreamin' about TJones, DMo or Capela.
Probably wont happen.

The Rockets have to choose between Demo and Jones, or neither as to who they are gonna pay. They can not pay both at the end of the year maybe not willing to pay either seeing as both spend most of every year on IR. Kief is right in their wheelhouse at 8 mil per, nice and locked up and never hurt (until this year, and we know he is fakeing). I think the Rockets are obviously interested in Archie too.

I'd easily take Sam Dekker. Especially if we end up trading Tucker. Plus he would be a perfect small ball four in the future and we could lose Leuer and Telly in the offseason.

I don't want a 21 year old with serious back problems.
If we trade Tucker, I hope we get KJ back. It's not like they're using him anyway.

Sam Dekker and Montzrell Harrell are decent prospects. Probably these two, filler + a late first round pick?
