''The Phoenix Suns have waived Cory Jefferson and Bryce Cotton.

Jefferson and Cotton had non-guaranteed deals.''

Sad times being a Suns fan. This is what Goran Dragic has been talking about that we keep making constant changes and it screws with team chemistry.

Always felt Jefferson never got enough playing time.

Oh well..... Onwards and upwards and I wonder if there's a few salary dump players on their way in trades?

Just blatant tanking.

If it was blatant tanking we'd have kept and played them both.

Agree with Jefferson, though he seems another Jeremy Evans type uber athlete who does the odd thing well but not enough to make him a daily NBA player.

Could be a trade looming where we're taking back multiple guys...HOU maybe?

Tastic, after I read that we released these players I immediately assumed that a trade is looming . I mean what is the point of getting rid of a few guys that hardly play on a team that should be tanking. It makes no sense but I believe Sarver wants to make quick changes with another 40 something games remaining to see whether we can make a push for last 3 spots.

Both teams can do this now without waiting round another week for Brewer so he can be traded...Get 'er done!

I gave you a "+1"m since that would be a typical McD trade, how in the heck does he sell a PER 8.9 and recent #27 pick for a recent top 20 pick and Jones?

They were both non guaranteed and non rotational players. No need to hold on to them, only to have to waive them if a trade does come up to make any room. With losing both, we could sign a few ten day contracts here and there to finish out the year. It gives us flexibility.

Has nothing to do with a trade. Had they stayed on the roster past that date their deals became guaranteed. Now they can be brought back on 10-day contracts.

Did I really have to put green font there?
