Would Suns brass be willing to part with TJ Warren in order to get rid of Morris?

Post#1 » by da6god » Fri Jan 15, 2016 11:09 pm

As a non-suns fan, to all of you hardcore suns fans, do you think the suns brass is willing to part with TJ in a package to get rid of Morris. I know they are really high on TJ Warren and he's playing great this year but if you were getting a nice return of young players plus picks plus an established player or two, would they pull the trigger?

If we had to include an asset to dump Queef in return for anything of possible value it would probably be the Cavs pick

How about:

Suns get: Patrick Patterson, James Johnson, 2016 Raps First Round pick + young player (Delon Wright- toronto has too many PGs)

Raps get: M Morris + TJ Warren

alternatively, suns could target Terrance Ross + pick/young asset

No need to do anything like that. Cap space is not an issue. We could just waive him or buy him out. There will be plenty of space this summer. Some team would take him off our hands for free.

Its a tanking year, there is no urgency to do anything right now unless it has long term advantage. I know the vultures are circling waiting to pick up the Kieff scraps, but there they might as well go away.

So absolutely not.

Yeah what the above peeps said. 0 reason to attach assets to clear Morris or anyone else.

In general cap space is at its lowest all time value across the league. I don't see many if any teams doing those types of deals the next could of years. Some teams are gonna struggle just to get to the salary floor.

The young guys and picks would have to be really damn good. Warren is the 2nd most valuable player on our team from a rebuild perspective behind only Booker.

So since you're phrasing this like he's a throw in "in order to get rid of Morris", the answer is hell no. I think we'd rather just keep Markieff if it came to that, but I disagree that Markieff's value is that low.

This is the most ridiculous topic I have seen here...or close to it. Markieff has value, and is on a good contract. The Suns are not going to give assets away to get rid of him. They are going to trade him for assets. They can wait as long as need be.
