Here's my contribution for the night - A Suns take on the Walt Whitman classic "O Captain, My Captain!"
O Horny! My Honry! our fearful trip is done;
This team has weather'd every rack, the prize, we never won;
The end is near, the bells I hear, the Suns fans all exulting,
With weary eyes and heavy hearts, the future grim and daunting:
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of Orange,
Where on the deck my Horny lies,
Fallen cold and dead.
O Horny! My Horny! Goodbye from P - H - X;
Chin up—although no banners won —for you the bugle trills;
For you we count our lotto balls—from you we hoped for thrills;
For your head now, all Suns fans call, our eager faces turning;
Here Horny! dear Horny!
Our arm beneath your head;
It is some dream that on the deck,
You've fallen cold and dead.
My Horny does not answer, his rotations dead and still;
My Horny does not excite the fans, the team has no pulse nor ever will;
Our coach is anchor'd safe and sound, his voyage closed and done;
A hopeful bliss, of championships, comes in with the next one.
Exult, Suns fans and ring the bells!
With somber mournful tread,
Walk the deck our Horny lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

Wow I actually shed a tear. Glad I'm not the only literary geek around these parts

I gotta say....I'm liking these additions....if the forums ever get back to the nickname thing....you can be dubbed with something along the lines of "The Poet"

Did you see his last one? I think it was even better. Not sure if it was in the last game thread or where.

This team is just so bad right now no one wants to get together and watch the games.
Look what you're doing to me Suns! The only shred of fandom left to me is to write poems for the RealGM boards.

Hey, there's at least 10-20 of us left! And we join here for serious fun and a little laughter, until of course, someone inevitably tries to bring us down.
In other news.....from my fantasy feed......and this will not help my fantasy team or our tank effort, but from yahoo...
Sat, Jan 23
Paul Millsap (personal) will not play against the Suns on Saturday.
Advice: He's attending his grandfather's funeral and is expected to be back for Monday. With Millsap out, the Hawks will likely be using Al Horford at power forward more to open up some minutes for Tiago Splitter. Mike Scott and Mike Muscala will also get some run.
By the way, Millsap might be the most underrated player in the nba. In fantasy rankings, he is 7th overall this year.

Atlanta is favored by 12 tonight. I would take Suns. Again, thankfully there's no sports betting in Arizona.

How much longer into the season do you guys think it will take Booker to start bringing the ball up the court and launching threes like Curry? I'd say the final 10 games of the season at the rate he is progressing

Also, I hope Booker learns a couple things from Kutcher. I wonder if he's picking up little things here and there from his opponents.

I don't think I've ever seen Archie Goodwin hit his first two jumpshots in a game before.

I love Len as our PF. Wish we would have done this earlier.

Len actually getting the ball OPEN, rather than being guarded.. makes a huge difference in him looking like a scrub and looking like a decent player.
Never liked the games where Len gets the ball in traffic as if he is Hakeem Olajuwon and he could pull magic shots out of somewhere extremely difficult.
Len needs to get the ball CLEAN... not in a lob with a clogged paint... not with his man all over him... etc.
Just give him the ball CLEAN and he will contribute.

I have to say, I love the way this ATL team is built. So many offensive weapons that understand their roles. Real fun basketball.

Wow, Chandler with 8 boards and 4 assists in the first quarter
Booker with 9 shots and 10 points
