If the option is on the table, would you trade the 4th pick for Okafor?

Moderators: bwgood77, Qwigglez, lilfishi22

Do you want to trade the 4th pick for Okafor if it's an option?

Yes, I think he has to be our future center if that's the case

Just curious on how most people feel, but more importantly, on how they'd fit into our team, thus the poll questions.

I think it's a no brainer. He can fill the void at PF for now but will probably have to move to C eventually.

This is a no brainer but he is strictly a 5.Jah is even more of a liability on the other end at the 4. Gotta be outta your mind to think he's fits there. Philly's DRtg went from 107 to 121 after the All-Star break with him playing out of position

Yes I hope so but McD won't do it. We'll be making our pick at 4 just accept it folks.

As it should be, maybe Dunn is worth it but Hield/Murray aren't. Philly is basically my second team I follow them quite closely, its an interesting case study in two divergent approaches

OK4 got caught doing something every NBA player does - speeding. Whoop de do.

Dude is 19 and he is a millionaire. You give a 19 year old kid a 450hp twin turbo V8 Mercedes that can do 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and feels super stable at 160mph and you'll are surprised that he gets clipped for doing 90?

The drunken street fight is a bit more concerning, but at least he actually went after the dude and clocked him. That's gangsta. A pair of 6'10" twins made their goons take down an enemy and do their dirty work. Then one kicked the victim while he was down. That's fake thug.

In all seriousness though, with a good mentor, OK4 will be fine.

As of now, I'll take a young and impressionable OK4 over Boogie IN THE BAGGAGE DEPARTMENT. Maybe even Blake too (AGAIN IN THE BAGGAGE DEPARTMENT).

Yeah Queef was a fake Motown Bad Boy wannabe with no compelling backstory as a malcontent and had incidents at UK according to a source here.Jah actually overcame adversity in childhood being raised in the South Side of Chicago without a mother and Coach K vouched for his character, this was unexpected of him

I wonder if the Sixers would take the fourth pick and Knight for Okafor and salary cap filler.

I doubt it, but ...

Well ... he was going 108 in a 45-mph zone.

I am not saying that such an act is a disqualifier (as you said, he is nineteen), but that is extremely dangerous and blatantly reckless. We are not talking about going 90 in the left lane on a 65-mph highway.

So essentially it'd be Pick 4, Lakers Pick for Okafor.

I did the same thing in my stepmoms Mazda-Rx8 when I was 19 in most likely a 45 zone. It was like 1am, did this frequently actually.

I love yours posts because you always back up your opinions with facts, links, or video evidence.

And I agree. 90 in a 65 isn't a big deal. 108 in a 45 is kinda ridiculous.

But in his defense:
1. It's kinda a "weak" 45 zone. Essentially it's a 4 lane freeway, but because it's a bridge they have a stupid low limit as "(Please Use More Appropriate Word) insurance" against an accident that causes major damage.

2. I thought he was driving an S550. He was actually in a Mercedes Maybach which has a nuclear twin turbo V12 that is super underrated and super smooth. I actually owned a SL600 with almost the same engine (5.5 twin turbo V12) and I can tell you that acceleration was so smooth yet so insane that you could get up to 120 without even knowing it. Stomping on the gas at 70 took you to 110-120 in an instant.

3. He was the only car on the road for almost the entire stretch of road.

4. I actually doubt the 108mph claim. I would bet the officer incorrectly "paced" him and maybe the officer had to hit 108 to catch him, but from the video, it actually doesn't look like he is going that fast. It seems he floored it (LOL) from the booth and that caught the officers attention.

I think what Jason Richardson did was way worse:

Same. I was a speed demon in my youth. Still am actually.

My first car was a 1988 325is that I bought for $4,200 (my life savings from busing tables). I ended up dropping in a S52 engine and the thing hauled ass. I did 100+ weekly.

M next car was a 1999 540i I picked up in college for $10k. (my life savings from my eBay business and valet job) Best car ever. I averaged 119 mph on a trip from San Diego to Phoenix (confirmed by the trip calculator. I made it in 4 hours and 20 minutes door to door. (6.5 hours was about average). I could have made even better time if I didn't burn through fuel so fast (had to refuel twice).

My next car was a 2006 SL55 AMG. I again was going from Phoenix to San Diego and was testing the top speed. I found out I had a limiter at 160mph. I passed an Arizona Highway patrol cop on the side of the road a few minutes later doing 140. I still to this day cannot believe that he did not chase me. I think he must have been doing paperwork or something and had his head down.

Then I bought an SL600 with a Renntech tune. Fastest car I've ever owned. It put down 669 RWTQ to the real wheel before breaking a dyno strap and almost jumping off the dyno. I traded it in for a 335i when the warranty on the SL600 was up. As incredible as that car was, NO WAY was I ever owning that car out of warranty. Repairs were insane!

Now I drive a Q50. :( I honestly need to get my ass back in gear and make more money again because I really miss having a special car. I either want to get an E92 M3 manual and put an ESS blower on it, or get into another SL600 or even a CL600 and put software on it.

I don't like Okafor for few reasons:
- thug
- outdated game
- bad defense (most important skill for C imo)

But if Suns will do it I hope it is just 4th + Knight. McD could do wonders with that Washington pick. Maybe throw in Archie if they want him.
And one more thing. He needs to play as C, surrounded by shooters. It's silly some people wants him to play as PF. Isn't this why Philly wants to trade him - because he can't play with Noel? So if we trade for Okafor, next move is trading Len (saintEscaton celebrates).
But keep Chandler. He would be needed to keep him disciplined and maybe he can teach him some defense. I would even start games with Chandler and use Okafor from the bench. He needs to get some humility. And starting 5 could use some rim protection.

Those E39 5-series BMW's are probably one of the most beautiful production cars ever made.

I cant fault Jah for being a speed demon either. Im 2 years into my license and blown all my demerits. Theres something about speed, and young men.

I wouldve done the same as Jah... Instant millionaire, buy a dream car, and drive it the way it's meant to be driven.

I'm kind of indifferent on Okafor. I still think I'd rather have Bender at 4 but I wouldn't be super upset if we traded the pick away for Okafor instead. Otherwise, I really don't care for any of the remaining prospects. I do still really like Len though and think we'd be giving up on him way too soon.

How many times during the year do I read people want to get rid of Bledsoe or Knight because they aren't great with handle, passing or shooting - 3 basic PG / G skills.

Then we'd get a big who can't rebound, defend or stretch with the 3, on even bigger contract once extended.
