Just curious where most people are taking shelter from.

Well you know I was espn. I know there were a number from there, though not sure how many still post. I know rsavaj was there, but not sure if he started there, and RunDogGun, and GMAT I haven't seen post anywhere else (I assume he hasn't because he uses same username here as do I). Those I'm pretty sure of, but I'm sure a bunch of others posted there too that I don't know about.

From what I can tell, very few posters from ASFN or .net are here, but those are so dead I wouldn't blame them for coming, though I can also understand why they wouldn't want to.

As for espn, I just wonder what happened to babyshaq....and WiseOldSun, the master know it all with obvious ties to Sarver.

I hate reddit so much. Its like youre just reading the same pun and uncreative posts over and over again no matter what sub reddit you go to, like groundhogs day forum edition.

Every time I check out reddit it only takes about 3 minutes before i decide, no, I'd rather stare at the wall.

I do wonder if most people who read BSoTS know about realgm. You'd think most die hard fans would, but I guess you never know.

Speaking of ESPN, I'm pretty sure Suns2k was posting on reddit for a bit. I called it and got a pretty big upvote number so it seems people that are familiar with him and his antics agreed with me. Also, what happened to that burningheart guy on here? Did he finally have that long overdue self inflicted aneurysm?

There have been some who have thought a particular poster here was Suns2k. Poster hasn't been around for awhile...is actually currently banned.

Burningheart said he was done with the Suns one day and that was it. I always laugh at those who say they are done and then they show up the next day....or it happens a lot when someone says "this is my last post and I'm done with this discussion" and continue arguing and one particular mod from another forum does this and does it repeatedly but he is so addicted to arguing that he can't ever be done. It is hilarious, and he's actually a guy I really like...I just find it funny.

I use to frequent the espn boards. Not so much the Suns forum. Mainly the Sonics/Seattle forums back in the day.

Wasnt there a decent sized forum that a lot of people used to go to before espn.... I think Cubby was originally from there pretty much the OG suns forum? Maybe like a newspapers website or something like that?

Before RealGM I was using a Myspace group called Got Love for Basketball. We were the largest sports group on Myspace (had over 300k members I believe) and I became one of 5 mods there. We also had a small Suns group there too. It eventually died down and then Myspace went away with the whole group thing. I only know of two people who transferred over to Realgm from there.

ASFN rep right here.

Got into posting on forums when I was early teens and played way too much NBA Live, and my many created threads about ridiculous trade proposals accurately reflected that. Posted under the name krazyasiankid, which was rather fitting.

Moved over to RealGM and have had a great time. Lots of great discussion and some arguments with posters have kept it entertaining.
Miss some of the older poster on here - wish they posted more. Miklo, Maryvale, SUN, RunDogGun, where yall at?

Started on fanhome around the turn of the century, found phxsuns.net but didn't care for it, ESPN was(is?) A wretched hive of scum and villainy due to the massive trolling. Found the trade checker here and waited about a year before signing up to tell Wizards homers they were wrong to think Kwame was better than Amare.

Started on ESPN way back in 2000/2001, then gravitated to the Rivals board which eventually became ASFN. Even though I don't post much at all here, I frequent RealGM almost as much as ASFN right now, I just post more over there. Tried .net for a little while, but I always felt that not only was it confusing to post, the members there weren't as welcoming. I've felt that here off and on, but not to that extent. Maybe that's why I barely post here. But I do read all the interesting takes.

And ASFN isn't dead. Sure, it's not as active as here, but the Cardinals board is busier than all forums except maybe the Cardinals site and the posting is consistent for the Suns. They also include a lot of other non-sports boards that I frequent.

I was on ESPN until they changed the forum format.

Anyone else remember the half bottle of wine story? Or was that this site?

I came from Pro Sports Daily. Used to be the Suns (and NBA) mod there (King4Day).
I was obsessed with that place. It was extremely active during the Nash era and a total blast during our playoff runs. I live on the east coast, so forums are my only real outlet to vent and celebrate.

After Nash left, the forum began to lose participation and soon enough, it was just a handful of posters.
I'd come here and you can chat whenever you want due to the high number of posters so I eventually stopped posting there and made this my new home.

I hardly post here but visit every day to read news and opinions and enjoy it.

I've always liked reading your takes on ASFN for going on better than a decade. Also ASFN is definitely the best place for cardinals talk, theres a ton of football knowlege on that board..

I always got that snobby vibe from .net too btw.
