Bledsoe, Booker, Warren, Bender, Chriss?

It's still early and far from a done deal that both will stay with us, but all of those guys can and will hit the three and run.

Defense?....(crickets)

Bledsoe plays defense.

Bender is good on D (from what I've read), but that is years down the road.

Booker will become good to very good on D just like Klay Thompson.

You Beldsoe plays great D, but the other 4 next year will be killed defensively.

Ha, I typed the same lineup earlier...can you imagine that if the bigs learn to rebound a bit better and Chriss can defend? Well and Booker and Warren for D. But offensively that would be crazy good if they reach potential.

If Bender/Chriss develop, and if Booker/Warren/Chriss become net neutral defenders, that's the lineup of the future.

One thing to note though, am I the only one that sees decent potential for Bender to move into the 3 position in a similar manner to how Durant plays it (not saying he will even be half of Durant)?? Almost everything he does on the court offensively is 10+ feet out with his jumper, or slashing to the rim. Defensively it looks like he might be able to cover 3-4 positions eventually.

I think he loses a lot of the size/speed combo advantage if hes being guarded by 3s (which incidentally may be the way to guard him anyway, early in his career). He will have to vastly diversify his Offensive game capitalize on his size over 3s. Whereas if he can gain enough bulk and show enough skill inside to force a 4/5 to cover him, he can then use the quickness & perimeter skills to take advantage.

I just want to see Ulis/Bled/Knight/Booker/Goodwin on the floor at the same time once. ONCE! And then never again.

I didn't saw enough of Bender. But don't you think he can play Center more than Chriss? Chriss is to small for Center. Bender has the size.

Durant can create separation with the dribble tho. I think the most important part of Bender's development will be making sure that teams can't get away with putting wings on him. Part of that is him bulking up and developing some inside skills. Part is actually putting a 3 next to him that you can't hide a 4 on (PJ).

I think what most people want outbof Bender is that Curry/Green, Lillard/Plumlee type PnR where the shooter is trapped, leaving the big with passing ability with a 4 on 3 possession, but if Bender cant punish a smaller defender, they can just put a wing on him and switch PnR's. Obviously hes super young, but i think thats the goal.

Bender should be in the corner, I know he has the passing skills, but Chriss has the more dynamic offensive skills. Chriss is the one who should be setting the screen for Bledsoe or Booker. Chriss can punish the small guy and blow by the big guy, think Amare. Not saying he is going to be the same player.
