We heard about the internal struggle between Criss and Bender, what side of the fence do you think realGM regular Robert Sarver and the actual real GM Ryan McDonough were on?

If you are a scout, you know Bender has many qualities, strengths, work ethic, iq, passing, defending,etc...that is McD....if you are watching WOW highlights...that is Sarver...

I'm sure McD loved the upside of Chriss as well but he got his way getting Bender at 4...and told Sarver he could do whatever he could do to get Chriss.

I have always thought once we were rumored for Chriss that Sarver started thinking Amare and imagining again the team he bought and watched.

I'm actually surprised Sarver allowed this draft. Bender AND Chriss? Two raw 18-year-olds doesn't scream "GO FOR THE PLAYOFFS!" But we'll have cap space, maybe McD said he's sign some guys to give the appearance of a playoff push.

Maybe its naive but I think McD genuinely wanted both and Sarver gave the ok for it. I look at Bender and see someone McD would go for (Skilled Euro big he has been scouting for years), I look at Chriss and he kind of reminds me of the combo guards that McD loves. Super athletic, raw, young, can play multiple positions. Both seem like the candidates he targets.

Gambo said at 4 McD wanted Bender and Sarver wanted Chriss.Obviously they liked both.

Lol. I'd wager Sarver's say in the decision making process is about 1/10th of what you think it is.
