Signs three year deal with Bucks, 30 mill total.
Dude was awesome. Really hoped we could have kept him, but I would guess that McD wasn't offering that third year.

Mirza you were my 3pt jesus in fantasy basketball and it was partially because of your last season surge that I won $500.
Thank you for your time in Phoenix Mirza, I hardly knew ye'.

I really liked Mirza and wished we could've resigned him. Dude never saw a shot he didn't like but he was a great shooter and was good for the organization. Wish him nothing but the best.

That put-back game winner last year was fun. Thanks, mate.

I'm really disappointed with McDonough on this one. 3 years and $30 mil is nothing in this current climate and he was a good locker room guy as well as nice offense off of the bench. He is the one guy that I hoped that the Suns would end up keeping.

Can we at least let FA play out for over 24 hours before we start slinging poo?

Won't miss him at all, but wish him the best. Doesn't fit in with the bigger picture and would have been a bad influence taking minutes away from Chriss/Bender with his triggerhappy ways. Milwaukee is gunna get the bang for their buck tho, he will open up a lot of driving lanes for Jabari/Giannis and take some of the load off of Middleton

Sad. I liked him a lot, thought he wanted to stay here, and saw value he could add add to the team.
McD might be good at collecting assets, but he fails repetitively in keeping important and/or fan favorite players here and establishing good team culture and chemistry.

Terrific shooter, one of the better in the entire league. Defensively he is horrible and I think this is the reason why McDonough didn't bring him back.

IDGAF about fan favorites tbh and nor should he, no one is lining up to become season ticketholders just to watch Mirza. Why not construct a roster of has been retreads? Lets bring back STAT, Amundson, Dudley and convince Pat Burke to come out of retirement

Dodged a bullet! Ignore free agency. The money currently being thrown around is ridiculous.

Can't keep his shots down even in an appreciation thread.
Mirza was responsible for two of the most exiting moments in the season. He is a great guy. He is more than a 3 PT gun. He was liked by all his teammates. You won't fill your salary floor this season anyway. Why not keep him?
Also, chemistry matters. See 13/14 Suns vs 14/15 Suns.

Would have been a fun role player to have on a contender or at least playoff contender, but not the best fit for this team. I'm glad those 3s that won us those games at the end of the year didn't cost us Bender. But if you are reading Mirza, good luck!

He's worth every bit of that $30m/3. I can understand why we probably didn't want to offer him it though.
Our loss is Milwaukee's gain.
