With 7 guards probably more than one will be disgruntled....more like 4 of them at least. IMO at least 2 of them need to go to make this work. Seing what LB did for GS it doesn't seem the Suns signed him only for lockerroom veteran presence. LB is ofc one of the most likeable players and i'm glad he's on the roster, but honestly can't imagine how he could be used. Despite handling PG duties behind Nash back in the day, i see him as a pure 2-guard and with so many shoot-first guards already on the roster it doesn't make much sense. Even stretching him to wing in small ball lineups doesn't add up as Booker is much more suited there.
Anyway, Welcome back, LB! I was eyeing a LB authentic jersey on the bay anyway, so now I have more the reason

Yes, no John Jenkins or Archie likely and we still probably sign either Price as a 3rd pg or Troy Williams if he plays well in summer league. Both dirt cheap.

Where will Barbosa fit in? He hasn't really played PG since 2009. I assume he's agreeing to be a non-rotational player. You still have Knight and Booker to feature at the SG spot. Unless Knight is relegated to backup PG duties and Barbosa plays off the ball.

Like I said Jenkins cut, and Barbosa 3rd SG, and Goodwin cut (and another PG like Price signed) or moved to PG, much better passer than shooter

Woww, I did not see this coming, big surprise.

Good player to have at the end of the bench, he is not the player that he was 10 years ago but he is good enough to play if we need him because of injuries or future trades.

Gambo said that it was an option to trade Goodwin to give him an opportunity to play minutes on another team....or pobably Barbosa replace Jenkins like our third SG and that is all.

We will know in the next few days.

Don't agree with the signing. The only thing that would make sense is if we trade both Knight and Archie. If not, it's a mess with guards.

Is Barbosa better than Jenkins? Yes.
It is a big deal to pay $8M / 2 years to a bench player? No.

It is an upgrade on the court and he is a great influence for the team.

I think we will trade Goodwin and also Barbosa won't complain about not getting minutes. So I don't think there is any mess unless we don't trade Goodwin.

Yeah, I think he is gonna be traded because Watson didn't play him big minutes last season because his mentality and approach to the game.

He doesn't seem a "team player", inmature and he has progressed only a little bit after three years in the league.

Not a bad prospect, he can improve and he has great phisical tools but is his brain what bothers me.
