To be honest I still like Bender better, and think he will be the better player of them. Still a bit butt-hurt about why Chriss got all PT from day 1 when he was utter useless on the court, while Benders passing, defense, and overall BBIQ and shoothing stroke (even without his shots falling) were visibly better in my opinion. But he did progress nicely for sure, and I think he can be a quality starter in the league - in fact he has surpassed my expectations for sure.

Well, it involved reading between the lines but some of us had the impression that Watson didn't like his work ethic or something like that. Neither played well early in the season but I agree Bender showed glimpses of ability that Chriss didn't. But, as I said, neither played well and clearly neither of them earned more PT on the basis of their early season appearances. So practice would have been the only arena in which either one of them could have justified their minutes, I'm going to trust Earl had a reason that we never had a chance to see.

I think chriss was simply more physically ready to play against grown ass nba men than bender was and that had a lot to do with him playing over bender.

Chriss is an nba athlete right now who needs to develop nba skills. While bender has some nba skills but doesn't have an nba body yet.

Both of them are so young and raw in their own ways patience is needed.

I'm very curious how they look after an offseason. This is where you look for one of them to take a leap. Chriss play late in the year was encouraging and i hope he builds on it.

Dumb hypothetical but knowing what you know about chriss right now where would he go in this draft? Id say 7-8 is the floor but maybe higher. He's a very intriguing athlete.

Random, but does anyone else feel Chriss is undersized? He always seems to me that he is 6'7-6'8 and more of a small ball four.

He messured 6'8 3/4 without shoes at the combine. NBA lists heights with shoes so he's a legit 6 '10 by NBA standards.

Chriss is 6'9... but with a long neck.

His Shoulder height is that of a 6'8 guy... but he is so athletic that it doesnt bother him much missing those 2-3 inches in reach.

I think his height is nothing to worry about but he needs to be around 240lbs at least to play the PF position.

Like Amare in the past, I think that he is gonna play his best basketball at C. Big advantage of quickness, mobility and shooting.

He is 6'10 and probably around 245 lbs now, good size for a PF/C. Excited about watching him in SL in July.

He has grown a lot over the course of a year, physically and as a player. credit to the coaching and training staff, i think he makes the biggest leap next year.

I think you might be right. Maybe a kind of Alonzo Mourning type of player. Although while the height and weight is the same. Zo had a 7-6 wingspan. Quese is 7-0.

He's got that MoBros (and to an extent, CB4) long neck syndrome. But his athleticism more than makes up for his lack of "true height". My issue with him is his slight frame. His shoulders aren't particularly wide which doesn't help him create space in the post to grab rebounds or create offense. He needs to keep working on building his strength and shoulders
