I think that 5 wins is a good start for these first 10 games.

The Nets are the only "easy" game IMO, but we are similar or even better on paper than Sacto and LA.

I was thinking 5 wins too.

Kings, one of Blazers, Lakers, Pelicans and Nets.

I picked 3 to be conservative and not set too high of expectations for myself. Most of these teams will probably come in with the same amount of positivity as us. We should have a good chance against the Kings, Lakers and definitely should beat the Nets. Lakers on the road will probably be fairly competitive. They will probably be much improved without Kobe, and Walton leading them. And Russell is looking really good in preseason and Randle is coming into his second year as well.

Don't see how some of you only got us winning 4 games only. Kings should be a win. Blazers at home should be a win. Pelicans won't have Jrue Holiday or Tyreke Evans. I don't even know who is starting for them besides Anthony Davis, is Asik hurt again? They lost Eric Gordon/Ryan Anderson. That should be a win. I haven't been following the Lakers, but I think we are by far the better team, so that's a win. Pistons will be without Reggie Jackson for a while and they play a brutal four games Western Conference road swing with the Clippers before us, and then the Spurs after us. Nets should be automatic.
I got us winning all those games plus the Thunder game just because I'm hoping we can steal one from them. Bledsoe always brings it against Westbrook, and I'm hoping Booker goes off. I got us winning against the Blazers in Portland because I'll be going to the game and I'll be talking mad sh** to the opposing players. :D

We play six playoff teams. We will probably only be favored in 1 -3 games, MAYBE 4 (we are projected to finish 3rd worst in west btw). Pelicans will start Tim Frazier, but probably E'Twaun Moore, who while getting decent minutes for the Bulls last year (5th year player), about 10 times scored between 16 and 24 pts, 5-7 boards, 5-7 assists, but at least 8-10 points, 3-5 boards, and 2-4 assists, Solomon Hill, a solid role player, Davis, and Ajinca.

It doesn't sound great, but most of the players are better than you'd think. Then probably Hield as 6th man. We should beat them but who knows? They do have a pretty decent player in Anthony Davis. It's a road game and so is the Lakers. I figured probably the Nets, and then maybe 2 of Lakers, Kings and Pelicans. But we could lose two of those and win one against a prior year playoff team. I think the Pistons will be good. Jackson is good, but Ish Smith is a good passer. I have them finishing high in the east.

I think we could win 5 or 6, but I wouldn't say it's probable.

Do you really expect us to start out 8-2?

What's the point of being realistic if you're a fan?

We will lose the Warriors game. I won't even watch it. The rest we better get wins!

My napkin math said 4.4, so I rounded up to 5

^I'm hopeful we start out 8-2 yes. I think last year was just a perfect storm created by crappy coaching, players not being happy, players getting injured.
We've got our full roster back, and though Bledsoe/Warren need to shake off some rust I think we can realistically win most of our first 10 games.
Thunder look good on the block with Kanter/Adams, and good on paper, but I'm not entirely convinced they are a playoff team yet.
Blazers completely overperformed last year and all their players just got paid, I'm guessing maybe not everyone cares so much about winning ball games, especially when Lillard is throwing concerts so he can be a rapper and Crabbe is always out at the club every time I go out. And I don't go out much! Maybe it's just a coincidence IDK, but I hear reports that he's constantly downtown.
Pelicans, again I still don't know what their offense is. They got Gentry running the show and last year they looked terrible. You take Gordon/Ryan Anderson off their squad, and then minus Jrue and Tyreke and I smell trouble. They signed Lance Stephenson for goodness sake.
I can't take the Lakers seriously.
Pistons will definitely be a tough game even without Reggie, but we're at home. Plus Marcus Morris there and the crowd is going to boo him like crazy, this should amp up our players.
Nets should be a win too. Oh and Kings should be a win just because I don't think Cousins is very happy there.

I know I'm looking at our roster with a glass half full perspective and other teams with the glass half empty perspective but oh well, Suns fan in me. Would I bet the Suns would start 8-2? Maybe in Vegas for $20, I'm sure my odds would be stacked against me but if I won, oh man! :D

*edit* And there ya go, AD getting injured again. Can't take the Pels seriously.

Why so pessimistic? If Raptors can beat them Suns also can! :P
