Tank Watch
Not that I am necessarily a fan of the intentional tank, though I do feel it is better for us to let the young guys play, hopefully they play competitively but maybe not win enough to drop out of the top 4 or 5 which gives you a good chance to jump into top 3 or not fall more than one spot if someone below you jumps.
So here is the link to watch or do draft simulations and I will probably add Chad Ford's to this post when that one comes out where he does the sims with players. http://www.tankathon.com/
I noticed Dallas beat Minnesota tonight. I expect them both to get better. Perhaps us too, but it will be interesting to watch down the stretch, particularly if there are trades.

We need to get rid of Tuck and Chandler ASAP.
Maybe play the long game with Knight and trade him last minute.

When the Suns are good they're not good enough and when they're bad they're not bad enough. There's a good chance LA finishes with a worse record.
Dallas fans have to frustrated since they're winning and have no young talent whatsoever.

I think this could be the best draft for picks 6-10 in draft history, so I'm not glued onto the tank, they are all likely to be better prospects than Otto Porter or Jaylen Brown who went top 3 in previous years we tanked.
Plus we're fully healthy and our best 3 players are in form, so it's hard to be that bad.

Re: Tank Watch
I think this team is teetering "dangerously" close to becoming quite good...like playoff worthy good. "Teetering" ..I reiterate. It could still go dramatically either way for the remaining games of 2017. I'm torn as to what I want to happen. The Suns are already stocked with great, potential-filled "super youths" Booker, Bender, Chriss, Ulis, Warren and Len. Sure, more young talent is needed and will be drafted, but at what price tag?..at what cost to the here and now? By "Here and Now" I mean the next few seasons.

-Move Chandler and Tucker for future late(r) firsts that also diffuses much of the potential for a strong Suns rise now (or soon)? Go all in tanking for a top 2 '17 pick and add future (likely late) 1sts? I get the rationale.
-Embrace the "pieces are/may be coming together now" which is dependant on the Chandlers, Tuckers, Duds and Barbs vet-types being elements of the mix? Accept the reality of falling to a probable #8 to #15 pick by abandoning any tanking efforts? After the top 2-3 picks of this upcoming draft, who's "4"...who's "10" anyway? You college experts tell me.
As I wrote, I'm torn. It'll be increasingly confusing if over the next few weeks the Suns have several more high quality games/wins.
Players like Tyson Chandler and PJ Tucker are very valuable. How do the Suns use them for the greater good? Is the future soon or somewhere (multiple seasons) down-the-road? I thought I was sure the future was still years off, but lately I'm not so sure. BTW, I don't care dookie about making the playoffs this year, it's about the defining of what "winning" is. There's been a debate in my head lately.

I want us to do well, and I think whatever pick we get will be good regardless. I would love a top PG, but for all I know McD may feel we are set with Bledsoe and Ulis.
The good thing about where we are is there are silver linings either way, and in a deep draft winning more games isn't as big of a deal. I still really don't expect us to fall out of maybe the top 7 worst records, but if we do, props to the team, as long as it is the young guys doing it. But it's out of our control obviously so I just sit back and watch.
Oh, and I have to say, whoever was playing that tetris game is almost as good as I am, which is quite impressive.

I'm going to predict that Brooklyn (Boston) wins the lottery. SUNS will get that coveted #2 and LAL will lose their pick (which would have been ours as well).

Re: Tank Watch
The LA pick is top 3 protected again right? If they get a top 3 pick again and then end up getting the 10th pick next year it will make me slightly better about the Knight trade. Really depends right now.
As far as tank watching. Trade Knight to Nets so they boost their wins. Trade Bledsoe to Dallas to boost their wins. That should solve our problem and we should end up with the a top 2 pick!
Happy that the Sixers went on a recent 3 game win streak (Nets, Knicks, Hornets). Miami is concerning because of injuries and I'm hoping Dragic might snag them a few wins before the trade deadline.

3 games difference between 3rd and 10th pick currently.
I suspect it will come down to FO intentions, because if a team wants to lose an extra 3 games they will.

Part of me wants the Lakers to keep their pick so the knight trade isn't bad, but another part of me wants them to lose it because **** them.

I'd much rather Philly get the 4th pick and piss off Lakers fans (last thing we need is the Lakers to get better). At this point the Knight trade is done.

Exactly how I feel. Why would I want the Lakers to get better? The Knight trade is done. We lost the trade. Get over it. It's not out pick anymore so no need to keep thinking of what could have been.
As far as where I want us to be right now, I'm not really sure either. A large part of me just wants them to tank this year and pick up one of Ball or DSJ (I don't think Fultz is right for us. Another combo guard and we already have a pretty good one of those in Bledsoe). Then next year, try as hard as we can to get better. It would be nice to watch Suns games and truly want them to win each time knowing we have a core of (Ball), Booker, Warren, Bender/Chriss, Len. I think the game in Utah turned around when we finally saw Bledsoe, Booker, Warren, Bender, and Len all on the floor at the same time. Replace Bledsoe with Ball/DSJ and that's my starting line up of the future.
A dark, depressing part of me wonders however, if I'll just revert to wanting to tank again next year though. This needs to be the last tanking year. If we pick up a premier PG, I'm ok with the late lottery or 8th seed next year.

BTW 76ers are playing quite good basketball right now, like they have a real coach, contrary to the Suns. I saw great ball movement in yesterday's game against the Bucks. With all the talent on the team and good coaching they should be a team on the rise if not for injuries.

Re: Tank Watch
Tough situation.
We win last night and we are 3 games out of the playoffs.
But now that we lost, we are 2 games away from the #2 pick.
We really need to make up our minds. Try to catch Brooklen and Philly? Or try to catch Portland.
