Just saw Al McCoy at the US Egg on 3rd and Bell. I was more in awe than if I saw nearly any NBA player.

He was eating and I decided not to bother him. But I could hear his patented voice as I sat only a few tables away. I had to force myself not to keep looking at him.

Al McCoy is quadruple OG, the definition of Suns History.

Talking about Suns history, at 58-20 the dominant Bucks let by MVP and DPOY candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo is on track to finish the season with a 62-20 if they win their last 4 games.

For comparison, the Suns finished 62-20 in 2004-2005 with Nash winning the MVP (1 of 2) that season

Lebron - Zion, Barrett like Melo, wade like Culver, garland like tj ford, hunter like bosh, white like Barbosa, Clarke like David West. I think this draft is actually going to be deeper though

I maintain that we should have parted with Amare for a different star after Diaw broke out. If we could have grabbed KG we'd be looking at two championships back to back in 07 and 08, provided a duo of KG and Diaw don't leave the bench against the Spurs and Tim Donaghy isn't officiating. Nash/Bell/Marion/Diaw/KG is much, much more well-balanced with more playmakers to take pressure off Nash.

Or maybe Diaw was just a fat ass and would have ruined our chances even if we acquired KG. I don't know.

On April 5th, 2019, the Suns won their first championship.

In an online poll made by a Brazilian chocolate powder brand, the Suns "misteriously" beat all other NBA teams and were selected to have a specially designed Suns bottle sold all across the country.

I don't confirm nor deny any involvement with influencing said poll.

This is the facebook page showing the result:

Looking back at when we used to be in the playoffs, and looking back at the SSOL era's first playoff team and their first round series against the Grizzlies. It's pretty amazing that we had a TS% of 61.1% AS A TEAM for the series. That's pretty unbelievable. Barbosa also played 27 minutes in the entire series, and only 7 guys played more minutes. The 7th man played 69 minutes.

Earl Watson was on the Grizzlies. His TS% was 38.2% for the series.

Trading Amare for KG would have got us back to back Chips with the possibility of a 3rd down the line if we beat out the Lakers.

Diaw only got lazy I think because after his breakout season, Amare came back and Diaw's role was diminished.

With Diaw and KG, defense would have got better, team would still be fast as the duo of Nash and Marion was insanely deadly, Bell was still a shooter and Nash and Diaw played well off each other. Add in Grant Hill later and that team gets at least one more championship.

Diaw broke out in 06’. The Wolves weren’t trading KG for Amare with him coming off microfracture. In hindsight the time to trade him for KG would’ve been after the 05’ playoffs but you couldn’t have done it in real time considering his breakout performance that year. We would’ve had a healthy KG for three years though.
