+2 Saucey
+2 Booker
+2 Chriss

-2 Len
-2 Bledsoe
-1 Knight - After Chriss blocked Portis in the 1st quarter I saw the entire bench get up and full of energy. I saw Knight at the end of the bench crying like a bitch.

This is the first time that I blame the entire loss on Watson. He used the young guys perfectly in the first half and then went cold, dead stupid in the second half. No excuse for the trio of Ulis, Williams and Jones to get so little time in the second half and no excuse to wear out our starting guards that way. Had he taken them out with 3 or 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter they might still have had their legs late in the game and been able to cover their opposites.

Honorable Mention: Watson and McDonough to sticking to their word and giving us a lot of rookie playing time to start off the last 25 games of the season.

I don't think they stuck to their word at all. Ulis, Williams and Jones got a total of 41 minutes, I was expecting more than that. Especially in a game where they were the primary backups for their position. There was no Tucker, no Knight and no Chandler so those three should have had at least 50 minutes between them. Instead, Dudley played 20 minutes. I was very disappointed by the rotation. Loved the first half minutes but that was it.

You're just looking for something to complain about lol is 3 more minutes for each of them really that big of a deal to you? Jones is a D-League project, I don't think anyone went into that game expecting him to play, much less 14 minutes in a game that we were competitive in. Williams played almost exactly as many minutes in the 1st half as he did in the second half too lol he got taken out with 8 minutes played because he had 3 fouls in the first half and ended the game with 15 minutes. I would have liked more Ulis, but he'll probably be getting around 15 minutes a game here on out if this is how the rotation will be and that's reasonable. Dudley had almost nothing to do with any of their minutes either, he played power forward the entire time he was on the court and none of them play that position.

Meanwhile the main members of our young core and players we really need to evaluate: Booker, Chriss, Warren, and Len played 41, 33, 38, and 35 minutes respectively, which is above all of their season averages even if you take out the OT time.

No, that's not my style, I usually look for and find the positives. Tonight really bothers me though. I thought Earl understood the program and was going to focus on development. Booker doesn't need 41 minutes and Bledsoe never needs to play that long, he drags at the end of the game and it often carries over into the next game.

I was thrilled with the first half minutes but that 3rd quarter was a disaster. It helped the tank but it didn't happen because Watson was going along with the plan, it was the result of him pulling out all the stops trying to win the game and it backfired. Bledsoe, Warren and Booker were working their tails off guarding some very tough opponents and Watson left them in too long. Both of our guards had almost 30 minutes before the 4th quarter even started. That was just stupid. Had he followed his rotation from the first half those guys would have had reasonably fresh legs down the stretch. And yes, all it would have taken was 3 or 4 minutes more for Ulis, Jones and Williams.

+3 Warren, played efficiently and guarded Butler very well.
+2 Sauce, he plays his heart out
+1 Ulis, showed floor general potential

-1 Len, didn't make a huge impact
-1 Knight, for not being traded

Booker isn't a finished product lol he needs development as much as anyone on the team, and the only person he's taking minutes from is Barbosa and Knight. He's good, but he's still only 20. There's no reason not to give him plenty of game experience, especially the tight-knit end of game stuff against good veteran players, and finishing the game with 41 minutes after OT isn't even that much...

It's funny you tell him to follow his rotations from the first half when his rotation in the second half was almost exactly the same as the first half. 1st half, he brought in Ulis and Williams with between 2 and 3 minutes in the 1st and played them until there were 6 minutes left in the 2nd, while DJJr started the 2nd quarter and played 8-9 minutes because he was playing well out there. Second half, all 3 start the 4th quarter for us, while Ulis and DJJr play to the 6 minute mark and Williams plays to the 4 minute mark because he was playing well and we could let him play out his fouls. Literally the only difference is that he didn't bring in Ulis and Williams to close out the last 2 minutes of the 3rd lol.

+2 Booker: Hey man, 27 points on ~50% shooting is solid enough for me! TOs aren't the best, he had a couple of real brain farts it seemed.
+2 Sauce: Sauce is a real threat to the tank tbh
+1 Ulis: Ditto on Ulis; I honestly believe that with him instead of Knight we would've won more games, and I don't even like Ulis THAT much.
+1 Chriss: Really starting to like Chriss!! I hope he and Dragan both play in SL this year, I'd love to see them back there again.

No Cacti for me-- some players played poorly for sure, but it was chill for the most part, and I honestly am not really sure how we lost? It seemed like most of the team played fairly well?? It was a fun game to watch though; I don't know how we're convincing Tyson to just "be chill with everything", is there not even a fake injury we're claiming??

I think the medical staff discovered during a routine checkup that Tyson is really old.
