Game 74: Suns (22-51) @ Hornets (32-40)

Post#1 » by Qwigglez » Sun Mar 26, 2017 4:43 am

Can we witness another historical game again?
Image

I don't know why but the past couple of games I been falling asleep at halftime but for some reason, I wanted to continue watching the Celtics game. That was probably my favorite game to watch knowing we were going to lose. Salute to Devin Armani Booker, let's all give him a toast with sparkling soda of course.

And shoutout to all the haters for trying to belittle his performance...

Okay, back to the Game Thread!

3rd game in 90 hours. All eyes will be on #1. What will he do this time? Will Chriss bounce back after a tough game? Will we give up 120+ again? Questions, questions...

That picture is going to be historic.. to get in the Celtics arena at 20 years old and drop 70 on them and walk out with their fans giving you high fives? legendary.

He is (will be) drained. Plus whatever nagging injury he has had is probably a bit worse, so I don't expect much. If he scores 20ish points I'm happy...

Chriss will bounce back for sure, he has that competitiveness and wants to show up I m sure. Plus he is going up against Marvin Williams - not a world beater by any means.

Yes, we will give up 120 again. :( Not that it really matters.

Agreed. Actually I expect a rough shooting night from Booker like 5/22 or something like that. He must be exhausted. And all the trolls/haters gonna say that 70 point game was fluke  Pathetic.

It would be great to get a win to stop 7 losses in a row. The guys deserve to win some game here or there to feel that they are good enough and that they are improving.

Hopefully we have a full ten men rotation today. I would be happy with Armani Booker just getting 40, a decent game for him :D .

I'm hoping Booker at least gets 30 just so nobody will say it's a fluke.

I'd be happier to see close to a triple double (at first I typed triple double but don't want people to claim stat padding again) with a couple blocks and steals on high efficiency. Many keep saying all he does is shoot, which is a bit inaccurate, so I'd like to see something more. Maybe 8-12 with a few 3s, and 4-5 from the line, for 23, with 11 assists and 8 boards with the blocks and steals.

Then would love to see Warren back to his usual stuff, even though it took him awhile after his last injury. Be nice to see 20+ from him on 9-12 shooting with a couple of 3s, along with 7-8 boards and a couple steals.

Look I don't care what whiny Celtics fans and GB posters have to say about Booker's 70 points. The fact is the Suns were down by 10 with 42 seconds left. That is not an insurmountable lead. Other teams have made miraculous comebacks in less time than that. It's rare but you don't quit. Hell imagine at the 1:05 mark if Booker would have been just a bit earlier on his three point shot. It would have been an eight point game with Dudley shooting a free throw for a four point play to make it seven. Weird crap happens.

Also that game could be a 40-point blowout if it wasn't for Booker.

Another early game, and no reserve guards... We'll be exausted in the 2nd half for sure.
