Kyrie Poll

Not considering the price, and in the abstract, would you prefer that we trade for Kyrie Irving or not?

Not talking dream scenarios where we give up obviously below FMV or nightmare scenarios where we give up Jackson or the 2018 unprotected. Just, simply, your preference, yay or nay?

I don't want Kyrie.

For years Suns suffers from selfish, low iq players and lack of defense. Yet they continue to add selfish, low iq combo guards that don't play defense. Very few player are as bad fit for current Suns roster as Kyrie. He brings something that Suns already have (iso scoring) and don't bring anything the Suns really needs. Yes I know he is better iso scorer than any Suns player but I rather have some hard working, unselfish players that are interested in defense over Irving. Trading JJ for him would be super-stupid.
Imagine a car with holes in the tires. How would you fix it? Would you change the engine for a bigger one? Or would you change the tires?
I'm not even mentioning that it's almost certain that Kyrie wouldn't resign here. Giving anything more than Bledsoe and MIA18 pick for him would be dumb.

I voted no as it's the safer path but I wouldn't be upset either way

Even though I'm a shill for round earth, I'd still be on board with trading for Kyrie. It could be a mistake but so could staying on this path of rebuilding exclusively through the draft. The difference is we'll know whether we've F'd up with Kyrie in 2 yrs or in 3 yrs when our young guys are up for new deals.

Kyrie leaving the Suns isn't like Lebron leaving the Cavs which is a franchise crippling move. We'd still have Booker who'd be a star entering his prime by then and the nucleus would still be young. As long as we're not forking over our unprotected picks I'm all for it. Winning in any sport is unlikely without taking chances.

Which is why I'm still on board with a Kyrie trade. What we give up for Kyrie, we could probably live without or we would be without anyway(Bledsoe).

I voted yes, get a superstar PG whos only 25, or wait for this unknown "future PG stud" who may not even exist or maybe isnt even born yet.

Give me the Flat Earth man, even though I think people that believe in that sort of thing probably prefer their women to be the same shape as their planet.

Is there even any proof the earth is round other than doctored NASA photos?

Kyrie's theories are a tad infantile and need further supporting evidence. Personally, I believe the world is being carried on the back of a turtle.

The world is being carried on elephants.

I'll be damned if there's an elephant supporting the earth. Zero evidence to support that. Turtles all the way down is the only logical solution.

Good poll cosmofizzo

About what I thought. 50/50 at this point.

I am on the side that wants him, but I can see the other folks point of view as well.

Hopefully we know the end result sooner than later.

I can't gauge my feelings about a Kyrie trade without knowing the price. I don't think he moves the needle much more than Bledsoe in the short term and the long term success is more dependent on the growth and development of the young players and how the picks are used.

So in a vacuum I'm indifferent to whether or not he is on the team. If they can get him for Bledsoe/Warren/Mia 1st I think it's worth a gamble. Less than that and I'd be optimistic, more than that and I'd think it's a move of desperation and that there is no long term vision in place.
