About the only thing I'm fairly sure about is, when you make a waiver claim you move to the bottom of the order. But when someone gets cut, you have to get your claim in within a day, or maybe two.

I have a question as well, because I can't remember for sure....do we have IR spots in this league? I imagine we do but I couldn't remember for sure.

2 IR spots. All undrafted players move to waivers for a couple of days.

What are people's thoughts on setting the waiver order as the draft order rather than the reverse of the final round? Sorta makes up for the fact that we did a snake rather than an NBA-style draft.

Waivers are usually opted to the team with the worst record first. Is that possible to do?

I'm sure it will depend on where you picked. Obviously I had a late pick, but the back half of the draft missed out on most of the likely premier draft stud commodities in the draft, which is basically what this draft is....drafting the top draft picks.

But I imagine only a few people with injured players will use waivers early.

You could do it NFL style for the draft and we could, by committee, rank the players value/severity of injuries and come up with a waiver order post draft...like compensatory style...like Markkannen just got injured...but Kristaps is a big one. Whoever has Cousins has a risk, etc. That would take longer though and be more complicated.

Jones is a risky pick, basically betting on the Suns or another team acquiring him in a Butler deal.

This late in the draft though, it’s a risk I can afford to take. He also hits FA I believe, and should he land a starting job after this year he could be a guy I keep too. Idk made sense in my head, lol.

MarShon Brooks

Now with Memphis not tanking (And sitting Brooks because he was just too damn good), he should have an amazing season, specially since word is that he will probably be the starting SG or at least the 6th man with plenty of minutes.

Nearly all leagues I'm in the waiver wire is the reverse of the draft order itself - which gives the guy who had the last pick the first crack at a guy on waivers by giving them the #1 waiver claim. We could include a waiver budget of $100 which makes it quite interesting, then waiver priority only comes into it if say Team A and Team B both bid $10 on a player, then the team with the highest waiver priority 'wins' the waiver bid.

If a player is a FA and you add then drop them on the same day (before the waiver claim time rolls over), they remain a FA.

If you place a waivers claim on a player and don't win the player, you don't lose your spot in the waiver order - only the winning claim drops to the bottom.

Waivers explained via Yahoo here:
Use Standard Waivers and Free Agents
Whenever a player is dropped, they'll be temporarily frozen for a period of time. The default time period is 2 days, but the commish of a Private league can change this from 0-7 days. During this time, all managers can make a claim to add the player.

If no one claims the player, the player become a Free Agent, which means anyone can add them to their team almost immediately, without competition from other managers.

If a manager adds a Free Agent and then drops them in the same day, the player remains a Free Agent.
