Nobody gets a positive from tonight. When you lose by damn near 50, your stars get blame too.

-3 Bledsoe (5 turnovers, 3 assists, 5-18 shooting...just awful)
-3 Chriss (Did pretty much nothing other than miss shots and rack up 5 fouls and have 2 turnovers in 12 minutes)

+2 Booker
+2 Bender
+1 James
+1 Jackson.

I would normally not give someone who racked up stats in garbage time a point but James played well when out there. None of them had great games but at least Booker didn't have turnovers and was fairly active with assists, rebounds, steals and even a block, even though he shot poorly. Bender played nice defense and was our leading rebounder with 7 in only 21 minutes, with a block (seems like more than one), steal and only one foul which was earlier a problem. Jackson just came out with fire which I liked to see, but I expected to see at least 1 assist, steal or block and more than 2 rebounds in 32 minutes.

Chandler was disappointing with just 3 boards in 23 minutes. If that's all he's going to provide then just give our young guys all the time, because at least if he gets rebounds it gives us more possessions to develop.

Can I do...
-1 Sarver (Incompetent)
-2 Sarver (Bad at owning the Suns)
-3 Sarver (literally worst person ever)

Otherwise

-1 Watson (I'll prepared team)
-2 Bledsoe (0 leadership)
-3 Warren (0 effort)

James +3
Peters +2
Bender +1

Chriss -3
Bledsoe -2
Daniels -1

I went to this game and had very good seats to observe the team.
Chriss is simply the laziest player I've seen. If calls don't go his way he pouts. He plays very poor defense.
Bledsoe simply took bad shots all game long. He would pass up wide open three point shots and take crappy running two pointers. He is supposed to be the leader of this team and I just don't see it.
Daniels played horrible defense. Just absolutely bad, maybe the worst on the team.

What was really baffling was both Bledsoe and Booker sat on the bench during the second half warm up. Everyone else was out taking shots and doing layups while those two just sat on the bench with one empty seat between them. They didn't talk with any one, any coach, or each other. It was really weird.

Bledsoe has had more than ample opportunity to be the man and run this team. He has proven time and time again he is not capable. I'd much rather see Mike James take his place because at least he plays with some heart.

Ugh. Brutal and shockingly poor performance. I knew we'd be bad, but this level of play was jarring. I try to always vote on every award no matter how bad we were, so here goes?:

+2 Booker: I honestly thought he was getting pretty good shots and distributing better than his stats showed. Lots of nice dump offs to post players who wouldn't finish. He'll shoot better than he did tonight, I was generally pleased. No turnovers too? I don't think anyone deserves a +3 tonight though.
+2 Dragan: I have no idea how he only ended up -10; I really appreciate that he for the most part plays within himself and is never too much of a negative out there. Also that monster block got my preeetty hyped; in a game this bad, that's all it takes to get a +2.
+1 JJ: Eh. I liked a lot of what I saw. Started out great, I'm not worried about his playmaking-- he too had some nice passes that didn't turn into assists.
+1 Mike James: Still not a fan, but gotta give him props. He saved this game from being a 50+ final score blowout.

-2 Bledsoe: Like it or not, he should be the leader of this team as the not-terrible veteran presence. He was awful on both ends.
-2 Chriss: Ugh. Very worried about Chriss. Just seems so lost allllll the time.
-2 Watson: Idk how you can't get your players going for a home opener--things should never get this out of hand. It's never a good sign for a coach's command over the team.

+3 Jackson - for at least trying
+2 Mike James - for at least trying
+1 Bender - for at least trying

-3 Chandler - veteran presence my ass, couldn't even set a screen, barely hustled for the boards, bring back alan williams so we can watch someone who stills gives a ****
-2 Bledsoe - Selfish shots, out of control play, playing for stats, not what i want to see out of our "leader " especially as a PG
-1 Chriss - looks completely out of rhythm like he forgot how to play basketball, body language looks even worse coming off the bench

-1 Bledsoe. Is he a PG? I miss Nash so much...
-1 Warren. He was slow motion all game long.
-1 Booker. He needs to pass the **** ball more.
-1 Chandler. He is a corpse out there. It seems that he can not play at a high level anymore.
-1 Chriss. Lost out there, he has been lost since Summer League.
-1 Ulis. He could not control the offense on the second unit.

+1 Josh Jackson. He was active and tried hard.
+1 Mike James. He avoided that #50at50.

This is the kind of game that really makes me reconsider my stance on not handing out minuses. I'll try and look for the good.

+3 Jackson: Came out strong and played well the first quarter hitting the first 3 of the game. Played actively all night and at least looked like he cared out there.
+2 Booker: People want him to pass more but I wonder who they want him to pass to? No one can make a bucket out there. I'd honestly have been happier if he took every single shot. We were that bad offensively. He had some nice moves and it seemed later every time he got something to go, Chandler committed a foul negating it.
+1 Bender: His shot still isn't falling and he's hesitating too much but his defense is greatly appreciated. Pairing him next to Len looks even better so I'm hopeful for next game. He definitely looked better than Chriss out there.

+3 Mike James . only thing that felt certain tonight: put james in and you know what you get - a offensive burst.
+2 Booker. That man there has to work so hard for his shots so I`m, ok him taking few shots more than ideal.
+1 Jackson. No doubt about him belonging there.

-1 Ulis
-2 Chriss
-3 Coach
Since this being our first game i feel it is a little dirty to start calling out names yet. Though i`m pretty certain whlo is going to bother my mind (and eyes) more often than not. I hope that "not" part even comes true.

Somebody on brightside posted a gif about not expecting anything and yet still feeling disappointed. I was kind of expecting 25+ point beat down so .... yeah.

-3 Watson: Losing by 50 on opening night falls on the coach. They weren't prepared, the lineups he put on the floor didn't work, and we had the worst opening night loss in History. No one expects us to win, but fans expect to at least see progress, and last night didn't shot any of that.
-2 Bledsoe: He played terrible. Bad shot selection, got lit up on defense, turned the ball over way too much, definitely didn't facilitate any offense. I don't get these 3s he takes where he just stands still, maybe jabs once, and gets a quick contested shot up. Why not move the ball, why not shoot in rhythm instead of standing there thinking about shooting it, why not attack the basket? That shot just doesn't make sense to me, it's not like he has a size advantage and is getting the shot up over anyone, it's just a bad shot that stops the offense.
-1 Warren: I love TJ and expect him to bounce back, but not every shot has to be a contested off balance runner

+1 Jackson: Played about average, good defense at times.
+1 Bender: Showed some of his potential on defense, but that shot needs to start falling at some point.
+1 Mike James: Only spark this team had after we started getting our asses kicked, so he deserves some recognition.

This was a really bad game by us that was exacerbated by the Blazers out-hustling and thoroughly outshooting us. I expected a loss in the 10-20 range, but that was beyond disappointing.
