After each Suns game, an MVP thread will be opened for you to vote for your top 3 players. These threads can be created by anyone, as long as there isn't currently a thread for that game.
Anyone can vote for the 3-2-1 (including other fans from other forums) but you can only vote for the Suns players (or coach).
3 votes to who you think was a the best Suns player. 2 for the second best and 1 for the 3rd best.
**EDIT: as of January something-or-other 2017, you can now distribute votes for the Nashty and Cactus however you please. You have a total of 6 votes to give out, but now you have the freedom to do what you want with those 6. The only condition which applies is no more than 3 votes can be given to one player (or coach) in either award. **
In the event of a Suns loss, you are also encouraged to vote for the Cactus of the game:
-3 votes for the player most responsible for the loss -2 votes for the second most responsible -1 for the third most responsible
Any votes with more than 3 players listed and not in the required format will not count. Voting will close before the start of the next Suns game.
After the thread closes, the votes will be tallied. The highest scoring total Sun gets 3 points, the next 2, and the third gets 1 point towards their season total. In the event of a tie in a count for a game, if the result of the game is a Suns win, a maximum of 4 players will be awarded points. A tie in the event of a loss will only result in a maximum of 3 players getting awarded points.
The player with the highest total at season's end wins the award!
The same applies for the Cactus of the Year, although of course the lowest tally at year's end takes it.

+3 Warren - Great efficient scoring night along with 5 boards +2 Len - Nice shooting with 13 pts and 13 boards +1 Ulis - Nice shooting as well with 5 ast, 2 stl, 0 turnovers
I'd like to give Booker a mention but he needs to shoot better than 37% if it's gonna be high volume and cut down the turnovers. A couple of nice shots down the stretch though.
Bender needs a mention too with the defense and blocks...almost gave him, Len and Ulis each 1.

+3 Warren - started off slow but 27 in 28min is exactly why we pay him $12m a year +2 Len - big boy game today against his arch-nemesis Gobert. Gobert still played better but this is a big game for Len. +1 Ulis - I liked the way he ran the game. More off ball movement meant there was more open space for him to operate. 5 assist to 1 turnover, I'll take that
Would've given Booker a +1 for his late game heroics, his 6 rebound and 3 assist effort but shooting 7-19 just isn't good enough.

Wish I had some left over for Bender and Tyson too because they both played well too but I'll shout them out here.

^^^I second these.
I was at the game tonight-- love the defensive energy these guys are bringing! It was honestly pretty shocking to watch them thoroughly handle a fringe playoff team like the Jazz.
And just because he didn't get any votes from me, I want to bolster my Dragan praise; he is the most impactful defender on this team right now! Mad respect, I think it means he'll always have a place on a contending team be it as a Lamar Odom-type or a Channing Frye with great defense.
Also, that JJ assist was gorgeous-- it's why I'm not worried about his assist numbers. He's got the court sense for it, I think the numbers will come.

Honorable mention to Dragan. Kid can seriously play defense and he seems to be getting more confidence on offense, just a matter of time until he puts it together. Game high +10 for us in 21 minutes too.

Triano 2 Warren 1 Bender 1 Len 1 Ulis 1
I would have given Booker a -1, but seeing how many even rated him in the top 3 I must have missed something I also think Triano deserves more credit, but with only 6 votes to go around when almost everyone had a good game...

The *only* rotation issue I had was when he closed with the Len-Tyson front court. After Chriss went out, he should have brought Bender back in at PF. At the very least Dudley (I know he hadn't played the whole game). But I NEVER want to see that 2 center lineup again, unless the opponent is shooting important free throws at the end of the game and we have to grab the rebound.

Triano used that big lineup to keep Favors (and not ISO JOE) in the floor.
