After each Suns game, an MVP thread will be opened for you to vote for your top 3 players. These threads can be created by anyone, as long as there isn't currently a thread for that game.
Anyone can vote for the 3-2-1 (including other fans from other forums) but you can only vote for the Suns players (or coach).
3 votes to who you think was a the best Suns player. 2 for the second best and 1 for the 3rd best.
**EDIT: as of January something-or-other 2017, you can now distribute votes for the Nashty and Cactus however you please. You have a total of 6 votes to give out, but now you have the freedom to do what you want with those 6. The only condition which applies is no more than 3 votes can be given to one player (or coach) in either award. **
In the event of a Suns loss, you are also encouraged to vote for the Cactus of the game:
-3 votes for the player most responsible for the loss -2 votes for the second most responsible -1 for the third most responsible
Any votes with more than 3 players listed and not in the required format will not count. Voting will close before the start of the next Suns game.
After the thread closes, the votes will be tallied. The highest scoring total Sun gets 3 points, the next 2, and the third gets 1 point towards their season total. In the event of a tie in a count for a game, if the result of the game is a Suns win, a maximum of 4 players will be awarded points. A tie in the event of a loss will only result in a maximum of 3 players getting awarded points.
The player with the highest total at season's end wins the award!
The same applies for the Cactus of the Year, although of course the lowest tally at year's end takes it.
Games 16-20
+3 James - I don't really like watching him and he had a horrific streak in the middle but he did help somewhat keep us in the game +2 Warren +1 Dudley
-3 Jackson -2 Ulis -1 Monroe
I didn't think anyone played THAT terribly other than Jackson and we shot well overall as a team. I'm actually pretty surprised we played as well as we did without Booker. The team isn't fun to watch with James running things.

-3 Jackson. Way out of control at times. 2/10 shooting. 3 TOV. 5 fouls in 20 minutes. Butler had an easy day. Sigh. -2 Ulis. Just can't continue to play if he is going to continue to shoot poorly. He sucks at defense due to his size. -1 Triano. I just don't like his offense. It's hero ball at times with mighty mouse and everyone is standing and watching.

Only watched about half the game but this is pretty much what I saw.
Ulis does a lot of probing and with a better off ball movement he might find more cutters but right now, he's just dribbles a ton. I also think his size on offense really prevents him from making passes that would otherwise be there if he was taller. His defense is at best characterized as pesky and the effort is there but again, his size limits him a lot. And the fact that he's the worst shooter on our team getting consistent minutes (followed closely by Mike "1FGM" James) just limits his productivity on court.
I think Triano is doing what he can with what he has. Literally no one outside of Booker can generate offense. TJ is more of a true 3rd option scorer who isn't consistent in creating his own scoring opportunities. Mike James is probably our 3rd best player at creating scoring opportunities and but he's ultra streaky (like 1 decent scoring game every 5).

Updated OP with last 5 games scoring.... I think an image is much easier to understand for those that don't click through to the standings.
