How it works
Spoiler:
After each Suns game, an MVP thread will be opened for you to vote for your top 3 players. These threads can be created by anyone, as long as there isn't currently a thread for that game.

Anyone can vote for the 3-2-1 (including other fans from other forums) but you can only vote for the Suns players (or coach).

3 votes to who you think was a the best Suns player.
2 for the second best
and 1 for the 3rd best.

**EDIT: as of January something-or-other 2017, you can now distribute votes for the Nashty and Cactus however you please. You have a total of 6 votes to give out, but now you have the freedom to do what you want with those 6. The only condition which applies is no more than 3 votes can be given to one player (or coach) in either award. **

In the event of a Suns loss, you are also encouraged to vote for the Cactus of the game:

-3 votes for the player most responsible for the loss
-2 votes for the second most responsible
-1 for the third most responsible

Any votes with more than 3 players listed and not in the required format will not count. Voting will close before the start of the next Suns game.

After the thread closes, the votes will be tallied. The highest scoring total Sun gets 3 points, the next 2, and the third gets 1 point towards their season total. In the event of a tie in a count for a game, if the result of the game is a Suns win, a maximum of 4 players will be awarded points. A tie in the event of a loss will only result in a maximum of 3 players getting awarded points.

The player with the highest total at season's end wins the award!

The same applies for the Cactus of the Year, although of course the lowest tally at year's end takes it.

+2 Warren
+2 Monroe
+1 Jackson
+1 Chriss

-3 James

Bender didn't get much for stats, but that's not possible in 7 minutes.

Nashty
+2 JJ - really liked his energy and defense. I liked him putting pressure on the defense in transition.
+2 TJ - 23/8 on decent efficiency. Couldn't give him the +3 since he was largely invisibly down the stretch.
+1 Chriss - started out strong and got us in the groove early
+1 Dudley - 6/3/5 in 17min off the bench and I love his leadership on the court.

Cactus
-2 Chosen 1(FGM) - for 1FGM and becoming tied with Tyler Johnson for most 1 field goal only games this season
-2 Daniels - he played too many minutes for my liking and ended up with a game worse -19. Unfortunately for him, we didn't have anyone else and he had to go up against Beal.
-2 Bender - Harsh but I gave Chriss the same Cactus treatment earlier this season so Bender should get it as well.

-2 Bender. Put your **** hands on the ball, son.

+2 JJ looked incredible early but has a lot of adjustments to make in order to get to the next level. He's getting more careful with those drives.
+2 Chriss stepped up in Booker's absence.
+1 TJ - expectations are high; this would have been a +3 game for most of the roster.
+1 Monroe

-3 James (kicks the ball, blames team mate)
-2 Ulis (fancy passes and stupid decision making)
