Canaan is like a better version (or pretty similar) of Mike James.
He is a scorer that does not pass to much, and like James is strong but really short.

Hopefully he can help us.

Canaan shoots 36% career FG.

Lower than Ulis, Knight, James.

Weird timing to finally get another roster spot after being forced to waive DJJ.

Wish the Suns could've just instead traded all the 2nd rd picks they have (since not all of them can be on the roster anyway) for a guy like Tyus Jones or TJ McConnell or something rather than Canaan.

I think Bender got the message about aggressive play. He already made at least 3 aggressive moves.

House seems to be very active on defense. A lot of deflections/closing passing lanes so far.

I think he will get there. He has had people say he can be really aggressive in the past...leading up to the draft I think some of his teammates say he fights. I think he has been on so many teams with so much more experienced players...because he was so good at a young age that the teams couldn't play him because they needed better seasoned vets and needed to win..not develop him.

Then he comes to a new country, court, and language, communication with players, all that stuff being an adjustment, has Watson fall in love with Chriss, gets injured. It's just been far from the type of situation you want for any player, much less a player in his position.

While I can admit he can be timid and it can be frustrating...there were probably a lot of us and nba players that were timid at age 20...he is younger than Jackson and Chriss and 99% of the guys in the nba, and played less than a season's worth of games.

He just simply needs time and coaching. He's got the iq and the skills. Does he have that fire? It doesn't look like it but I wouldn't be so sure that he doesn't have it at all.

By the way, if you are watching and being that our game thread is dead, it might be fun to post in the Raptors game thread...perhaps preface with Throwback24 inviting us, but they are very good natured...seems most canadians are...but if you go there, best to keep it good natured....link earlier in thread.

But also shot that from 3 in the season he played most, which is better than most of our team, so he should shoot 3s and pass.
