Standings

How it works
Spoiler:
After each Suns game, an MVP thread will be opened for you to vote for your top 3 players. These threads can be created by anyone, as long as there isn't currently a thread for that game.

Anyone can vote for the 3-2-1 (including other fans from other forums) but you can only vote for the Suns players (or coach).

3 votes to who you think was a the best Suns player.
2 for the second best
and 1 for the 3rd best.

**EDIT: as of January something-or-other 2017, you can now distribute votes for the Nashty and Cactus however you please. You have a total of 6 votes to give out, but now you have the freedom to do what you want with those 6. The only condition which applies is no more than 3 votes can be given to one player (or coach) in either award. **

In the event of a Suns loss, you are also encouraged to vote for the Cactus of the game:

-3 votes for the player most responsible for the loss
-2 votes for the second most responsible
-1 for the third most responsible

Any votes with more than 3 players listed and not in the required format will not count. Voting will close before the start of the next Suns game.

After the thread closes, the votes will be tallied. The highest scoring total Sun gets 3 points, the next 2, and the third gets 1 point towards their season total. In the event of a tie in a count for a game, if the result of the game is a Suns win, a maximum of 4 players will be awarded points. A tie in the event of a loss will only result in a maximum of 3 players getting awarded points.

The player with the highest total at season's end wins the award!

The same applies for the Cactus of the Year, although of course the lowest tally at year's end takes it.

+2 Monroe - Nice game with 16, 10 and 4
+2 Chriss - Very impressive hustle coming up with 5 3s, knocking down a few 3s
+2 Warren - love the 5 assists, 5 boards, 4 steals and a block, despite having a subpar shooting night..love that he stayed engaged

HM Bender...still knocking down 3s well and nice getting 4 assists, and one of Jackson's best games in a while, despite some of what these guys did was in garbage time, it was still nice to see.

Rough game, especially the second half. No surprise though, they were waiting 3 days for us, and arriving in Denver 5 hours before the game on a back-to-back definitely hurts the energy levels

+2 Quese: Seems like he made a couple of hustle plays with 5 steals. Liked to see a him nail a few mid-range jumpers. He needs to finish these dunks though, hopefully as he continues to get into shape he gets a bit more of that springy-ness back and starts finishing them. Still plenty of dumb plays, but he's put together a few good games in a row.
+2 Monroe: Missed a couple easy layups in the second half, but you can always count on a double double. Definitely hurt us on pick and roll defense when he was on Jokic though, he's too slow to help much without giving Jokic all day to shoot.
+1 Jackson: Still a few stupid mistakes and a lot of work to do, but good to see him bounce back from a DNP with an alright stat line.
+1 Bender: Wasn't sure who else to give it to. He did a good job on defense tonight, shot the 3 pretty well after struggling with his shot the last few games, and had a couple of good assists. He really needs to knock these one-handed pass off until he gets more accustomed to the game though, it's a turnover way too often.

-2 Len: -14 in the 9 minutes he played tonight is definitely not good. Still has that habit of bringing the ball down when he gets the ball on rolls and rebounds. Very frustrating how he gets blinders and shoots every single time he gets a rebound no matter how many people are on him too.
-2 Ulis: Major mismatch tonight for Denver, especially considering they negate Ulis' on-ball pressure defense by running a lot of their offense through Jokic and expose him big time off ball and with screens.
-2 Warren: Couldn't buy a bucket tonight, which makes his type of shot selection extra frustrating to watch lol. He kept getting caught helping in the paint way too much leaving his man wide open for 3 too, which you can't do with a team like Denver that can shoot the ball.
