The Grizzlies tank is STRONG

The news on Conley was made public Saturday when Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace e-mailed his club’s season ticket-holders. “Mike has been extremely diligent as we pursued multiple different approaches to alleviate the pain before deciding surgery was the best solution,” Wallace wrote. Surgery has been scheduled on what Wallace labeled as a “small bone protrusion” in Conley’s left heel. Considered one of the top defensive point guards in the league, Conley led the Grizzlies to a 7-6 start, averaging 17.4 points and 4.1 rebounds.

Memphis has gone 10-25 since then. Conley was not active when the Grizzlies visited Phoenix twice in a six-day stretch in December.

To add insult to injury, the Grizzlies have lost two other key players in the past week, including Tyreke Evans, who became the team’s leading scorer after being promoted to Conley’s starting spot. Evans has missed the last two games with an illness, while forward JaMychal Green has been out the last three games with an ankle injury.

If booker sits this has potential to be one of the ugliest games of the year. Just a dleague level rock fight.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Is Booker playing tonight? Any news on the injury with his hip/ribcage whatever was reported?

I'd be completely OK with him taking the next two games off against Memphis and Dallas. Tank needs to roll on by what I've seen against Houston, plus I'm totally gonna lose my sht if we beat them by 1 or 2 points again. Still can't believe we did those THIS season, smh.

Pretty sure we won't know until pre-game, we don't have a shoot-around in Memphis today. Still waiting to hear if Tyreke Evans plays tonight too, although last I read he was "optimistic."

Massive game for draft purposes though. Booker playing 41 minutes and getting banged up at the end last night makes me think we should just let him take the night off.

Booker should take off until after the all star break.

I'm glad people are joining me in the tank, there's been plenty of room in here for months. Going to be standing room only soon enough.

And we beat them in the first game with a 25 foot 3 pointer by Troy Daniels and the second one on a lob for a basket by Chandler with .6 seconds left.

Not exactly the guys you want leading us to win if we're going to win.

Isaiah Canaan or Danuel House Jr will probably hit a desperation half court shot for the win tonight....after an enormous 4th quarter by Greg Monroe, Jared Dudley and Troy Daniels.

We'll probably sweep Memphis by a total of 8 points and finish 1 game ahead of them in the standings.

Call me crazy, but even now I want to win.

I want to watch Booker and Warren combining for 60 points to win the Grizzlies tonight. And a better performance from Chriss, Bender and Jackson.

That is because I do not value too much the difference between similar picks in the draft. We are gonna get a high pick, that is for sure.

I enjoy more watching my team winning or being competitive enough during a game. I love watching basketball.

Who cares if we pick #5 or #3 (for example) in the next draft? Who is gonna be better in his prime...Bagley, Trae, Ayton, Porter, Jackson, Doncic or Bamba??

That's easy! It will be the guy who we wanted but the Grizzlies took one spot ahead of us. Are you not a Suns fan for a long time that you didn't think of this?!!?

If any of this happens I'm flying over there and kicking their butts left and right. Not sure it will go well, as I'm an old, skinny 6 foot guy, but I'll give it a try anyways.

I like to see the young guys play well and to win. The old guys doing it, not as much. I somewhat agree regarding those players you name. I'm just a little worried we end up 6th or 7th worst and drop a spot or two in the lotto draw and end up with the 8th pick.

These next 5 games could be a big factor.

But ultimately I want to enjoy watching the Suns, as that's what it is all about...entertainment, and it sure as hell hasn't been very entertaining lately.

Regarding all that, I don't find it fun winning 25, nor 30 games. I'd rather have the higher pick.

I don't think anyone wants to win 25 or 30 games. But it would be nice to see improvement in the young guys, competitiveness and get a high pick....and then have continued improvement next year, that pick to have immediate impact, and us to take a major step next year.

Unfortunately losing is the only option. Consistently losing by three n still losing 55 games typically does not happen.

Yes, I know. I expect the blowouts. But close games are good to have on occasion even if you don't win, as we don't want our team to get too demoralized.

This was posted on the General Board:

Tyreke isn't much of a difference maker

On the court, the Grizzlies are a playoff team. Off the court, they're the Kings. That's at least a slight difference.

Then a Memphis fan:

I'm sure we're talking behind the scenes. He's been out the past two games due to "illness" so maybe they're holding him out. We'll see. He's winning us too many games by himself though so he's gotta go.
